Visa is seeking highly energetic, passionate, technology enthusiasts for Merchant Data Platform team. The candidate will work as part of the Merchant Data Products Team to lead a team of talented engineers
who would design and develop solutions for Merchant analytics and reporting needs. The ideal candidate will bring robust experience in developing technical solutions in merchant business use cases like segmentation, web analytics, causal analysis, ROI assessment etc. This role will participate in various design discussions, create solution design deliverables and develop technologies and ensure successful delivery of business capabilities.

. This role serves as a technical/functional specialist and works independently with guidance only in the most complex situations. Product Analyst works closely with the business and technical teams and is a major contributor to the requirements specification deliverable, writes the business and functional requirements. This person understands business and ensures that there is integration between business and technology.

Performs feasibility analysis, scopes projects, and works with the project management team to prioritizes deliverables and negotiate on product functionalities. The PA understands development processes – SDLC/Agile – and is very analytical with problem solving and conflict resolution skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues.

- Strong understanding and implementation of predictive / analytical modeling techniques, theories, principles, and practices.

- Strong theoretical foundations in machine learning, optimization, stochastic process etc.

- Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision.

- Excellent knowledge of data mining / predictive modeling tools such as SAS, R, and Python.

This position involves significant communication with customers. Participate in the impact/GAP analysis, review business requirements, estimate work effort on new projects, create design components, and develop code and
testing changes. Coding must adhere to department standards, be easily maintainable, and have good system performance.

- 6+ Years of relevant experience with Master Degree/equivalent in Computer Science/statistics/ Applied Mathematics from institute of repute.

- Large volume data processing using Big Data infrastructure is required. Experience in analyzing, defining and processing complex transforms, rule driven business logic, parameterized processing of business data sets.

- Big data development on large Hadoop clusters using Pig, Hive, Map/Reduce, H-Base, No SQL DBs or equivalent is required. Analysis of complex business logic for matching, linking multiple data sources and deriving new attributes from the data processed

- Strong background in SQL, data analysis, data modeling, reporting, application frameworks or equivalent is required. . Strong knowledge of Unix and Windows based operating systems is required.

- Strong data analysis and data validation skills is mandatory. Ability to analyze , process and present very large data sets and present data variations/discrepancies to a technical and business users is required

- Candidate should be detailed oriented with above average problem solving and data analysis skills. Ability to learn new technologies and work on very complex problems is required.

- Sufficient communication and presentation skills with ability to present data analysis results to various levels of management is required.
