Job Description

The incumbent shall be responsible for increasing the merchant sales volume and acquiring revenue in working with various parties including Visa licensed financial institutions (acquirers), key merchants, payment facilitators, digital wallet operators and payment gateway providers. The primary focus will be to take ownership of the business relationships with key acquirers and merchants through business development and sales efforts aimed at ensuring that the objectives of acquirers and merchants are met as well as grow the Visa business.

More specifically, the role encompasses management of merchant acceptance matters, which involves creation of compelling value propositions for acquirers and merchants to:

- Drive the deployment of Visa products and solutions (merchant facing) to deliver Future of Payment in the market for improving POS experience for cardholders / merchants and growing electronic payment.
- Expand relationships/partnerships with key acquirers through the selling of Visa acceptance and Visa’s products / solutions as well as managing day-to-day relationships
- Proactively provide support to acquirers in developing and executing their go-to-market strategy as it relates to the deployment of Visa capabilities and as it relates to driving value in to the acquiring business more broadly
- Build direct relationships with key merchants, identify strategic opportunities for Visa’s capabilities and develop account plans with the objective to drive incremental business and volume- Negotiate business contract or deals with acquirers and merchants, and related acquiring parties including payment Facilitators, payment gateway providers or digital wallet operators to achieve the business goals
- Work with cross-functional teams (internal / external) to provide merchant centric products and solutions to increase merchant preference on Visa and create business opportunities
- Work with new players (digital wallet, mPOS etc.), and develop and execute the optimized strategy to grow Visa acceptance and volume holistically
- Work with merchant technology partners to grow or introduce new technological solutions to merchants that would benefit Visa’s business growth

Qualifications

Professional
- Bachelor Degree preferably in business management
- High level of English Language Proficiency in formal business conversation and writing.
- Preferably +5 year experience in the payments industry.
