Group Overview
Visa’s Innovation & Strategic Partnerships (I&SP) is a global client facing organization that sets Visa’s public innovation agenda, develops commercial partnerships with industry leading brands and platform providers, and promotes hands on incubation and rapid prototyping to demonstrate the art of the possible for clients and partners. One of several regional office, I&SP AP focuses on Visa’s Asia Pacific region and includes major markets such as Australia, Singapore, Japan, China, India, Indonesia, and Thailand among others.

Position Overview
The Program Management Office for I&SP is accountable for delivery of successful commercial launches in close collaboration with our major strategic partners.

As a member of the PMO team, the Project Manager will be based in AP and own the entire lifecycle for specific projects and/or major program work streams and associated outcomes—a smooth, successful launch. S/he is responsible for working cross-functionally with development, operations, sales, marketing, finance, risk, and legal. Some programs may require designing and building I&SP processes and portfolio governance.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Work with I&SP Account Executives or I&SP PMO Leads to structure and manage integrated, multi-track projects and/or work streams that meet the business intent for Visa’s most important strategic partners
  • Single accountable party for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering a given initiative often involving multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partners
  • Responsible for early identification of issues, determining potential resolutions, assigning the appropriate resources, communicating status, tracking and resolving them in a timely manner 
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders. Defines and tracks project and/or work stream milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on delivery progress

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor degree in Business, Science, Engineering or similar and 5-8 years of experience managing product development and/or strategic partnership projects in a matrix organization is required
  • Experience working in unstructured environments with evolving process and structure 
  • Exemplary core project management skills
  • Must have a "Can do" attitude and does not hesitate to do what it takes to garner support in order to move a project forward
  • Solid influencing and presentation skills and able to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision, both written and verbally
  • Excellent problem-solver and critical-thinker with the ability to identify and remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives
  • Willing to challenge the status quo to get things done
  • Team player possessing a strong drive to add value to the business direction
  • Experience in payment processing industry is a plus
  • Prior experience in data analytics is also a plus
