Job Description

You will be a member of Visa's Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Strategy Team, which is responsible for strategy development, pricing and interchange for Visa’s business in the LAC region. The position will be based in Miami with some travel expected.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage cross-functional initiatives in support of the economic model underlying Visa’s products, services and global payments processing network.

- Collaborate with all facets in evaluating and leading pricing change opportunities, from forecasting and build business case design to partner impact assessment and key partner communications.

- Identify new revenue models and enhance existing in LAC markets to optimize net revenue growth and ensure sustainability of the business in Visa’s LAC region.

- Support the development of overall country strategies with a focus on pricing and interchange rate development for existing as well as new products, merchant segments and channels.

- You will query large databases to extract data to evaluate different opportunities. Build financial cost-benefit analyses and modeling to resolve impacts for issuers, acquirers, merchants and Visa using VisaNet data.

- Lead the publication of changes in Visa pricing and interchange rates.

- You will collaborate with the global systems group to develop business requirements and track systems development results.

- Partner with Compliance team on the interchange compliance program to ensure that clients are qualifying for the correct interchange rates.


Qualifications

  • MBA or relevant graduate degree in finance or economics from premier institution, or similar academic/professional experience.

    Typically requires 6-8+ years total experience, with 3-4+ years of post-graduate experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, pricing, banking or finance preferred.

    Experience in and/or significant exposure to the payments industry preferred.

    Previous success in leading complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple partners at both senior and junior levels.

    Superb analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, attention to detail and ability to structure and analyze sophisticated financial modeling.

    Experience working with economic theories, scenario analysis and daring assessments. Knowledge of payments industry revenue drivers a plus.

    Ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior managers, external business partners and industry regulators.

    Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a "peer" with functional and regional leaders within Visa.

    Self-starter, team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities.

    Bilingual English/Spanish required, Portuguese a plus.
