Job Description

This visible role provides full FP&A support to our SVPs across the Global Product organization and partners with executive leadership to drive incremental financial performance and investment decision guidance critical to the achievement of our innovation strategy and corporate directives. In this capacity, this role will be directly supporting our portfolio of corporate product groups: Risk and Business Intelligence, Platform Management, Commercial & Global Product Integration, Network Processing, Business Analytics and
Financial Inclusion. In addition, this role will require indirect oversight of our Regional Core Product organizations – working across our nternal organization to ensure we are on time, on budget and on strategy.

The role contributes to overall product strategy and management of Global Product business. Core financial activities include budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting and variance analysis. However, strategic activities – financial modeling, business case development, business process development, presentation production and decision support analytics – will consume the majority of this role’s bandwidth. As such, the role will partner across our product, technology and finance counterparts to track and measure the product investment portfolio and facilitate investment analysis.

While financial analysis will clearly be an important element of the role, the emphasis is on applying overall analytical skills and experience to become a highly valued member of the Global Product team.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain partnerships with product groups and serve as a central point of contact for all finance issues.

  • Acquire and maintain a deep understanding of the strategies, priorities and issues in the global product areas.

  • Drive high-quality, timely analysis that contributes to the high performance and success including analytical models in support of new business opportunities.

  • Partner with the business to prepare & understand periodic forecasts for Income Statement – ensures forecast appropriately reflects current trends & known discrete items.

  • Partner with Functional finance teams to understand and prepare commentary regarding variances, business drivers and influence forecasting assumptions.

  • Preparation of the annual business plan, monthly business review and CFO summary materials used for executive communications.

  • Coordinate financials across global and regional product organizations to support the month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting requirements in accordance with deadlines.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Seasoned professional with a minimum of 10-12 years of experience in a well disciplined organization where best practices are integral to the management of the business.

  • Superior problem solving skills, ability to drive complex financial modeling and analysis to quantify impact of investments and explain viability of new business models.

  • Ability to cultivate effective relationships and communicate effectively with executive management.

  • Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy and quality of output


  • Outstanding operational and people management skills.

  • Strong bias for action and ability to proactively recognize and resolve issues.

  • Management consulting background and/or Payments industry experience.

  • MBA from a top-tier school or equivalent credentials.

  • Additional experience with a complex financial system (e.g., Oracle) is beneficial but not required.
