Job Description

Overview:
The primary purpose of this position is to support the Supplier Risk Management. The Risk Analyst would be responsible for supplier risk assessments which includes, but is not limited to, the initial and periodic supplier risk assessments for a portfolio of suppliers, developing and managing supplier metrics, etc. The Risk Analyst will be validating services and inherent risks and working directly with Risk Stakeholders, suppliers and business partners to determine residual risks to Visa. This Risk Analyst role will also support the managing of Tiered Supplier List which includes reporting on the high tiered suppliers and ensure documentation of all the changes to the supplier list is approved and captured as needed. The position reports to the Director of Supplier Risk Assessments who has primary responsibilities for ensuring the suppliers are risk assessed and due diligence completed.

Responsibilities:

  • Validate incoming supplier engagements, working with business partners to ensure data is complete and accurate and inherent risks are identified

  • Coordinate the distribution of due diligence questionnaires to the suppliers, review submitted questionnaires for control effectiveness, ensure Risk stakeholders finalize reviews and determine overall residual rating. Be a strong liaison to ensure that Risk Stakeholder questions are answered by Business or Suppliers as required.

  • Ensure risk stakeholders capture risk issues and remediation plans

  • Conduct certain aspects of supplier due diligence not covered by risk stakeholders.

  • Review high risk suppliers with multiple services to determine if inherent risks across the firm justify increased rating

  • Ensure fourth parties are identified, captured and reported across all suppliers

  • Assist with the ongoing assessment of suppliers in our program

  • Develop and run consistent and accurate reports related to the supplier list and analyze data to prepare supplier reporting for senior management

  • Store the artifacts of the supplier oversight process in Visa systems

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in risk, vendor management or audit professional, preferably with a major financial institution or payment card company

  • Understanding of inherent risks, controls and residual risks and/or risk assessments of entities in financial or payment industry

  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills and an ability to synthesize information and make clear, concise recommendations on course of action.

  • Excellent customer service and customer support skills.

  • Experience with successful support internal customers and suppliers.

  • Detail orientation and strong analytical skills and experience in evaluating inherent risk in engaging suppliers.

  • High level of self-motivation and initiative, and ability to operate effectively as a team player

  • Flexibility and ability to think creatively and to identify new ways to approach old problems.

  • Undergraduate degree required, graduate degree in business, economics or risk will be appreciated
