Job Description

The Sr. Systems Data Analyst will help collect infrastructure and software utilization, inventory and cost data from across the organization. The analyst with help structure, normalize and store datasets to be used for dashboards. Baselines and effective licensing positions. Understanding data issues is crucial and proficiency in ETL tools is beneficial.

JOB SCOPE

  • Aggregate data from disparate data sources, normalize and generate reports with KPIs across the entire Technology & Operations organization
  • Recommend effective solutions to highly complicated business and technical issues
  • Create advanced BI visuals that offer key actionable insights
  • Keen understanding of budgets, financials, and measuring business value via leading edge metrics
  • Identify opportunities to improve our business analytics capabilities


Qualifications

  •  General Data and Business Analysis
  • Live and breathe data analysis and understand common problems with datasets
  • Must have technical background to understand the key IT infrastructure products
  • Must have strong quantitative skills & experience taking raw data and drawing actionable insights from it
  • Ability to conduct research and independently ask questions from engineers,
    financial analysts and business analysts to come up with business requirements for software projects
  • Strong communication skills including written, oral, and presentation abilities
  • Demonstrated
    project management skills, including ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and follow through on completion of high-profile projects
  • Proven critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity and fast change with an ability to adapt quickly and easily
  • Must have a high attention to detail and accuracy in all work products
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a technology or finance related field

Software and Tools:

  • Extremely comfortable with advanced functions of Excel, MS Access and analytics tools
  • Experience with SQL Server and the ability to write out their own SQL statements to pull data from multiple sources preferred
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, Mac
  • Scripting experience is a plus
  • ITIL, CSAM, and/or CISA is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Economics, Statistics or related field required
