DEPARTMENT SUMMARY

The Corporate Business Systems team provides support for Finance, Revenue, Human Resources, Customer Relationship Management and Corporate Risk applications for Visa. This includes managing system requirements, design, development, integration, quality assurance, implementation and maintenance of corporate applications. The team works closely with business owners of these services to deliver industry leading packaged software and custom developed solutions.

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Applications team provides customer service, including end user support, issue troubleshooting and resolution, system access, application administration, and development work for the FP&A application analytics and reporting needs. The team works with Financial Systems Strategy (FSS), Project Management Office (PMO) and FP&A closely to gather requirements, provide feedback on Statement of Work, and ensure the successful and timely delivery of projects and enhancements.

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Works within the Foster City-based Corporate Business Systems Team, as a member of the FP&A Applications team, to provide development services, application and user support that meet the needs of business users of the Visa Global Cognos TM1 and Hyperion environments. Works specifically within the US time zone to conduct development and L3 support activities, while coordinating with India-based and Singapore-based FP&A Applications Team members, and coordinating with business admins and L1/L2 support resources.

Provides L3 application technical, process, and user support and timely and effective resolution to questions and issues associated with the TM1 and Hyperion applications. Independently follows up to document and research technical issues, and coordinates issue resolution with the FP&A Applications team members. Works with FP&A Applications team members and provides oversight to local team members to ensure SDLC processes and documentation are completed effectively, and on a timely basis. Contributes to the FP&A Applications team development and testing efforts.

Independently follows up to document and research business requirements, and coordinates Hyperion and TM1 technical environment updates. Independently follows up to document and research technical incidents and issues, and coordinates issue resolution with the FP&A Applications team members and business owners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Support the creation of architecture and design documentation, facilitating business involvement, updating the requirements documentation, and ensuring requirements trace-ability

· Participate in the development activities of enhancements, custom modifications and interfaces to be developed of the TM1 and Hyperion environment as requested by business

· Participate in the maintenance of the TM1 and Hyperion environment, including diagnosing, troubleshooting, and initiating corrective actions; develop solutions to system technical issues and systems process issues; develop automated solutions to minimize administration and support effort

· Participate in the technical environment support of the TM1 and Hyperion environment, including diagnosing, troubleshooting, and initiating corrective actions; provide scheduling and support for technical issues and required environment updates; develop automated solutions to minimize administration and support effort

· Act in the capacity of L3 application and user support for the TM1 and Hyperion users and technical environment; L3 support is expected to resolve issues and questions escalated by L2 support on a timely and effective basis, perform root-cause analysis, and propose application technical and process updates to permanently resolve issues

· Participate in the development of unit and integration testing plans, testing scripts for enhancements, custom modifications and interfaces to be developed

· Understand and adhere to defined Visa SDLC processes, including documentation, testing and approvals

· Understand and ensure adherence to customer service level agreements for TM1 and Hyperion

· Provide, or require responsible parties to provide, root cause analysis for any systems or process issue; ensure remediation plans are devised, discussed and agreed up that result in permanent resolution of issues

· Clearly design and explain a relevant IT solution to business partners or interested Visa staff, including how it is deployed, how it is used by Visa Finance and users, where it fits in the overall IT architecture, and where it fits in the IT systems strategy.

· Collaboratively elicit requirements using interviews, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, analysis of the business, existing documentation, task and workflow analysis, and other solicitation techniques to analyze business needs. Identify derived requirements that are a logical consequence of the customer’s requests, and search for those implicit requirements that the business may expect but hasn’t verbalized


Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline 

·  Requires a minimum of 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in IBM Cognos TM1 and Hyperion applications administration, development and support, including a minimum of 2 years of experience with the latest TM1 product (currently 10.2.2) and Hyperion 11.1.2.4

· Strong Enterprise TM1 skills including, Advanced TM1 rules and Turbo Integrator knowledge

· Experience and/or knowledge of TM1 Contributor and applications

· Subject matter expertise and technical resource on IBM Cognos and Hyperion Products 

· First-hand experience of administering the TM1 and Hyperion environments and licensing model

· Experience of Cognos BI, using the BI Studios to enhance reporting beyond the excel add-ins would be advantageous 

· Experience using perspectives/cafe and/or Cognos BI for report building 

· Experience working in a multinational environment is strongly preferred

· Experience working with IT staff and customers in multiple locations is strongly preferred 

· Proven experience in business process analysis, gathering and documenting business requirements, and drafting system requirements and specifications; strong follow-through, ability to drive to closure and resolution of complex system issues

· Excellent problem identification, analysis and solving skills

· Demonstrated ability to absorb, analyze, and understand new information, technologies and practices quickly

· Advanced knowledge of MS Excel

· Understanding of project management, SDLC, risk management, quality engineering

· Ability to empathize with both the technology and business viewpoints

· Exceptional communication and customer facing skills, able to interact effectively with diverse groups of global stakeholders, both technical and business users

· Proven ability to manage multiple activities of varying complexity while prioritizing and focusing on critical tasks and issues
