The Corporate Information Technology, Revenue and Pricing Systems Organization, enables Visa's revenue growth through flexible pricing engines and global revenue platforms built on next-generation technologies. This includes managing system requirements, evaluating cutting-edge technologies, design, development, integration, quality assurance, implementation and maintenance of corporate revenue applications. The team works closely with business owners of these services to deliver customer developed solutions, as well as implement industry leading packaged software.

The Software Engineer position is an individual contributor role based in our Austin office. The candidate will be responsible for both development and support of modules built on ORMB and Java technologies and Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF). The candidate must be flexible and willing to switch tasks based on team's needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop solutions for revenue systems including pricing, rating, billing, accounts receivable and revenue reporting functions. Responsibilities include the creation of conceptual approach, technical analysis, design, delivery, unit testing and support activities.
• Participate in collaboration activities with business partners on requirements elaboration, workflow design, configuration, and business re-engineering.
• Work with delivery partners to review and finalize technical specifications, code review, version management, and implementation related activities.
• Participate in software evaluation and technology vendor selection.
• Work with limited direction, usually within a complex environment, to drive delivery of solutions and meet service levels.
• Mentor more junior team members both offshore and on-shore, and ensure they are following engineering best practices.
  

• 5 years experience with ORMB/CC&B.
• Solid experience in core Java, scripting, Hibernate, advanced SQL and Oracle Database.
• Hands on experience in developing multi-threaded and scalable batch processes.
• Prior experience in building or implementing Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) OR other Oracle Utilities Application framework based product is highly preferable.
• Ability to design and build complex algorithms.
• Strong knowledge of ORMB/CC&B data model with ability to write complex SQLs.
• Strong conceptual and analytic skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a broad group of stakeholders.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a Computer Science and Engineering discipline.
