The Visa Online team is looking to hire a talented Systems Engineer. In this role, you’ll work collaboratively
with software engineering to deploy and operate our systems in Dev and Test environments. Troubleshoot and resolve issues as well as address user-requests. Help automate and streamline our operations and processes. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.

• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service

• Experience in CI/CD tools like TFS, Jenkins etc.

• Proficient in Web server and app server configuration

• Well-versed with scripting languages such as Javascript, Python etc.

• Programming knowledge of Java, .Net

• Well-versed in windows and Linux administration and configuration

• Good experience with web-related technologies including WebSphere, Apache, Tomcat, IIS 7/8

• Experience with Oracle, PL/SQL (stored procedures, functions, views, triggers)

• Experience with DB2, SQL Server databases and reporting services

• Strong experience with SQL

• Experience with building quick solutions to solve immediate problems through automation and use of scripting

• Good understanding of infrastructure including storage, physical servers, operating systems, database and middleware concepts

• An understanding of basic networking for switching and routing especially when applied to infrastructure in the access layer

• Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis

• Knowledge of monitoring tools, alert escalation, customer / vendor management etc.

• Familiarity and/or experience in implementing ITIL concepts in addition to technical aptitude are valued

• Lead by example, self-motivated, and excellent interpersonal communication skills
