Job Description

The Sr. Software Engineer would be a part of a high performance global team responsible for the delivery of features in the Resolve Online program. The candidate would need to analyze, design, code and unit test core modules of the Visa Resolve Online application and work with a global team of developers, SMEs and architects.
As a key member of the delivery execution team, candidate would need to create scalable designs, write maintainable code, reusable components/services/utilities, and test cases. Qualifications include good organizational skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills, good time management skills, ability to work independently, and effectively communicate with team members. The candidate must be capable of working in all phases of the application system development life-cycle.
The successful candidate will become a recognized Subject Matter Expert within Visa, responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of dispute processing capabilities for Visa Resolve

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Define style and visual layout guidelines for new systems

• Create and maintain responsive web design

• Design, develop code, tests and maintain code for Resolve online application
releases

• Effectively participate in the technology proof-of-concepts and learn new
technologies and frameworks

• Work closely with business teams to convert requirements to wireframes and
eventually turn them to mock UI screens.

• Fix complex cross browser layout issues

• Take ownership of UI modules and should be able to able to manage the entire
life cycle of UI development

• Utilizing UI build tools (webpack or gulp etc.) to simplify and speed
prototyping

• To adapt to new front-end methodologies/ industry trends and apply them into
practice

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
in MIS, CS, or related field

• 2-5 years of relevant web development experience

• Strong front-end programming skills in HTML and CSS and JavaScript for rapid
prototyping

• Strong design sense and understanding of modern UX practices.

• Working knowledge of a wire framing tool

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

• Exposure to front-end frameworks like Angular or React

• Very good communication skills

• Experience in the financial domain or payment industry is a plus

• Understanding of REST API standards will be an added advantage
