Job Description

Inovant, LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs Staff Software Engineers in Foster City, California to enhance, maintain and support Visanet Test Systems – Clearing and Settlement (VTS-CS) for Member Testing, including Test Data Generation, Auto-Presentation and Responder applications. Collaborate with business units and technical staff to define requirements and modifications for use in designing appropriate solutions, evaluate options and provide recommendation on scope and scale of effort required to develop solutions for Clearing and Settlement Certification Application Development (CASCADE), VTS-CS for Member Testing and Tools and Automation. Create design documents, code, unit test, document and implement new programs and subprograms, as well as enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software. Conceptualize, design and develop tools and automation solutions for the Clearing and Settlement applications to optimize the work process of developers, testers and business analysts. Build and maintain effective relationships across functional areas in order to provide superior product support for CASCADE, VTS-CS for Member Testing and Tools and Automation. Support and deliver on resulting initiatives from the Business Plan and Technology strategy leveraging re-use, eliminating duplicative components, architectural design, and use of innovative products. Work to ensure technology decisions are "business" driven. Suggest and cultivate ideas on the extension of the CASCADE, VTS-CS for Member Testing, Tools and Automation, and all other Clearing and Settlement applications, to new products and services. Identify opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to standards and processes of these systems and applications. Provide rotational on-call support as needed. This position will not supervise others. No direct reports, or managerial duties involved. This is an individual contributor role only. Provide rotational on-call support as scheduled.

Qualifications

Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent*, in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related technical field, and five years of work experience in job offered or in a computer software engineering-related occupation. Provide rotational on-call support as scheduled. *Employer will accept 3-year or 4-year degrees.
