Job Description

This is a key role in MSS LAC team, leading the region´s efforts to transform the acceptance landscape in the markets. She/he is responsible for coordinating all expanded access activity in their region, mainly the development and execution of an acceptance strategy for the region. While the strategies will be unique by market, a consistent disciplined approach towards identification of segments, accountability for performance and executive level reporting will exist.

This position also participates in the leadership teams of MSS-LAC and in the global forums related to Grow Acceptance. She / he will interact and work in collaborative partnerships with people from multiple areas and locations across Visa.

The Head of Grow Acceptance LAC has to be a senior professional, with a sound track record of results and with the ability to work and influence multiple stakeholders (both internal and external to Visa), in the increase of PCE penetration across the region.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute, in collaboration with key Market, Regional and Global stakeholders, a cohesive business strategy to significantly grow acceptance and increase PCE penetration in LAC

Coordinate the in-market resources dedicated to Grow Acceptance across the region

Lead implementation of transformational acceptance strategies for the key markets in LAC

Focus on enabling new acceptance and Visa processing opportunities, through new acceptance infrastructure solutions, technologies and innovation as well as the related deployment practices

Partner with Acquirers, Payment Facilitators and other potential players to transform the acceptance footprint in the region. This includes the development of local and regional Payment Facilitators, across LAC

Increase the number of Visa Ready solutions available to regional and local Acquirers and Payment Facilitators

Incentivize activation and usage, at current deployments with Acquirers and Payment Facilitators

Explore alternatives to increase acceptance in underdeveloped segments.

Manage all efforts related to Payment Facilitators, including direct management in countries where this is a requirement (e.g. Brazil).

  • Be an advisor for acceptance rules and actively represent Visa with key third party stakeholders, such as: Government, CPGs, Merchant Associations and related forums and working groups
  • Actively participate and represent LAC in global Grow Acceptance practice

Qualifications

Deep, hands-on, 10+ years of experience in Payment industry, particularly in relation to Acquirers and Payment Facilitators

Robust strategic and analytical thinking skills, combined with focus and execution capabilities

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, to lead by example and influence

Superior negotiation skills with a track record of positive, concrete results

Ability to work in multi-functional teams, align resources and seek buy-in from internal cross functional SME’s, across all disciplines

Excellent written and verbal communications skills, proven in a senior-level, corporate environment

Strong executive presence

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, results-oriented, deadline-driven, matrix environment

Business acumen

Graduate, MBA is a plus
