Job Description
The Benefits Program Manager will play a key role in supporting the design, budgeting, communication, and ongoing administration of Visa’s U.S. benefit programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for ongoing management of various health and welfare benefits. Specific programs may vary but may include life insurance, disability, leaves of absence, workers compensation, perks,
commuter benefits, education assistance, and service awards.Continuously evaluate benefit programs and develop proposals for enhancements. Keep current
with industry trends and areas of importance in the benefits arena; researching
trends, best practices, and cost and financial impact and presenting
recommendations and new ideas.Lead benefit enhancement initiatives - develop project plans, collaborate with
program owners/stakeholders, contribute to communications, and manage on-time
deliverables.Vendor management, including selection, onboarding, budgeting, and resolution of
escalated issues; ensure compliance with established processes and agreed-upon
service levels; address any issues that may arise.Develop benefits program budgets and track actual spend vs. budget.
Work effectively with internal resources including employee relations, HR shared services, legal, finance, sourcing, payroll and HRIS on a number of issues, including escalated employee issues and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Responsible for benefit plan compliance, including: federal, state, and local requirements and
supporting internal and external audits.Develop and maintaining online benefit plan content.
Organize onsite benefits events for employees.
Develop and conduct benefit plan training for HR teams.
Respond to escalated employee issues.
Testing and program support for programs and projects.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred
Knowledge of benefit funding, budgeting, tracking, analysis, and reconciliation
Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience with benefits administration
systems and Workday a plusCritical thinker, with strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
Results oriented, with a high degree of flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity
Strong written, verbal, and problem solving skills
Effective project management skills with attention to detail
Self-starter, ability to work independently and perform at optimum levels
