Team Description

Global Merchant Sales and Solutions is a team dedicated to serving the needs of our merchant and acquiring partners. The Global Merchant Sales and Solutions team is focused on ensuring that Merchants prefer Visa. We want our clients to see Visa as a trusted strategic partner that delivers tangible value and is easy to do business with. Our actions are designed to protect and grow payment volume and revenue contributions while increasing the value merchants perceive and balancing the needs of all of our stakeholders.

Job Description

Our Sales & Solutions Immersion Program is designed to leverage the innate curiosity in people and help them develop a deep understanding of the complexity of the merchant business. We believe that empowering continuous learners with knowledge and resources is the fastest way to make an impact in the marketplace.

So, what does our program cover? It’s global in scope and structured in three 8-month rotations (total of 2 years) that cover Sales, Product & Business Management which we believe are the foundational elements for a career in payments. Each rotation consists of a complete end-to-end project, a dedicated manager, dedicated mentor and access to senior level leadership. The rotations are assigned based on business needs and your interests. All of Visa’s resources are available to you from online learnings, innovation center experts, subject matter experts, innovation speaker series & more. We’ll also make sure you have the senior level support and access you need to be successful. You should expect to sit at the table during our Global Leadership Team meeting to learn from our executive team and present findings.

Qualifications

So what are we looking for in a graduate to join the Sales & Solutions Immersion Program? 

  • Students graduating in 2018
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's of Master's Degree
  • Prior internship, placement or work experience in Technology, Start-Up, Sales, Consulting or Banking
  • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically 
  • Self-starters, self-learners and independent thinkers who thrive on taking risks
  • Curious problem solvers with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Entrepreneurial and resourceful with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently
  • Focused on providing excellent customer service
  • Full of intellectual horsepower, dedicated to continuously learning and growing
  • Analytical in nature
