Job Description

Job purpose

The Project Manager will report to VP of China Strategic Project and Planning PMO and will be responsible for multiple activities supporting the strategic project as described below.

Responsibilities
1. Lead and be responsible for China market entry project and/or work stream planning and execution, including:
A. Ensures the achievement of the project targets in agreed quality within agreed budgets and timelines
B. Leads and co-ordinates the project team per project governance as designed
C. Ensures timely decisions on open issues, escalates if necessary. Decides on and allocates project resources (internal and external)
D. Monitors project risks and initiates corrective/mitigation actions as needed
E. Adheres to the guidelines of Visa and deploys all (or specific) methods to optimally achieve the project goals (e.g. planning controlling, reporting, risk management, management of internal and external stakeholders)
F. Set up disciplined management of project documentation and manage compliance activities such as the security vulnerability process and Visa-wide application database.


2. Support China entry strategy planning and project execution optimization, including:
A. Support strategic planning and initiate project for strategic initiatives and/or continuous optimization of project execution
B. Support Visa China governance agenda, i.e. regular strategy reviews, business reviews and management meetings/events

Qualifications

• 3 years+ project management experience and/or PMP certified is required
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, responsibilities and timelines at the same time
• Excellent written and oral skills (Chinese and English); good negotiations skills
• Strong problem-solving and detailed oriented
• Energetic, creative, and with good analytical abilities
• Good leadership skills and ability to work with multiple teams
• Fintech or payment industry knowledge is a plus
