Job Description

This candidate will join the Corporate Information Technology Project Management Office (PMO) for the Revenue and Pricing Systems program and will be responsible for successful project delivery while working with matrixed teams comprised of Systems Analysis, Vendors, Development, QA, Operations and
Business personnel.

This position is responsible for leading and/or assisting with project management efforts on multiple concurrent software development projects focused on Visa’s revenue and pricing systems. Work may include leading status meetings, communicating with team members, interfacing with other teams or departments as needed per project, monitoring project financials, creating and maintaining project schedules, reporting status to management and project sponsors.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, IT or a related field.

  • PMP certification preferred but not mandatory.

  • Minimum of 5 years of project coordination experience required, preferably with payments systems, finance applications.

  • Proven experience in planning, organizing and leading large meetings, executive steering committees, working sessions, etc.

  • Proven experience in coordinating people, process and project in a heavily matrixed organization structure is required.

  • Demonstrated experience in working with technical teams in the delivery of large scale software development, operational and integration efforts.

  • Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to post-implementation production support, including quality assurance and system integration.

  • Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices.

  • Familiarity with client contract management.

  • Proven skills in co-coordinating, managing large projects in a matrix environment.

  • Knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Clarity, SharePoint, etc.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Team player; able to communicate with technical and business experts at all levels of the organization.

  • Solid analytical skills; able to think strategically and creatively.
