Job Description

Visa is currently seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to play a critical role in the implementation of
financial applications. In this dynamic and challenging position, the Senior Financial Systems Analyst will be part of a team in the Finance Systems Strategy (FSS) organization in the Asia Pacific and CEMEA regions. Excellent critical thinking, data analysis, and communications skills are critical for this complex role.

The purpose of the FSS organization is to lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the financial systems strategy for the global finance function. Key FSS activities include partnering with Finance business leaders to identify business priorities, developing a roadmap, managing business requirements, working with business and IT partners to design and build systems, coordinating and performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and providing post go-live user support.

The ideal candidate will support the China market and should be strongly experienced with large implementations in the revenue and billing space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business partners and IT to develop business requirements to help drive Finance system solutions, in a complex and high volume payment transaction processing environment.
  • Lead and deliver multiple system projects running simultaneously.
  • With minimal supervision, partner with IT and Finance Managers to understand business needs and develop solutions for financial systems applications.

  • Work within a complex and changing environment, to drive delivery of solutions and meet service levels.

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise on functionality of Visa financial systems in order to provide support to Finance and non-Finance users and groups.

  • Communicate effectively and proactively with all levels of management and articulate ideas and recommendations clearly.

  • Execute all aspects of UAT and system testing activities, including but not limited to test strategy & data, test execution, and test approval.

  • Ensure compliance with Financial Internal Controls and SOX policies as deemed appropriate.


  • Bachelor’s Degree with a combination of Systems/Accounting/Finance concentration.

  • 8 or more years of progressive experience preferably with large, multi-national, publicly-traded companies.

  • Implementation experience with revenue management and billing systems – custom solutions or
    system software packages – in the payments and financial services space. Experience with Oracle Revenue Management & Billing (ORMB) strongly preferred.

  • Implementation experience with local market tax integrations, e.g. China Golden Tax.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to translate complex information into comprehensive, concise and high quality business requirements with minimal revisions.

  • Excellent project management skills and ability to effectively juggle multiple projects at one time and meet project deadlines.

  • Excellent data analysis skills and demonstrated experience in testing, validation, Quality Assurance, User Acceptance Testing, and related disciplines.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and achieve in-depth understanding of complex processes and systems.

  • Background in payment industry and transaction based billing preferred. Experience and knowledge of Visa transaction processing systems attractive.

  • Excellent understanding of Agile and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Ability to read and write Chinese.
