Visa Research (PhDs): Visa Research leads Visa's long-term research efforts and collaborates with our internal product and technology teams.


Data: Data Product Development is focused on developing and managing end-to-end technology solutions that will create value from our enterprise data through internal and client-focused information-based services, business intelligence and insights, and data-driven product innovation.

Operations & Infrastructure: For Visa to deliver on the vision of the best way to pay and be paid for everyone, everywhere, O&I must provide best-in-class infrastructure services that are secure, scalable, continuously available, and run on software-defined infrastructures.

Network Processing: At the heart of our brand promise is VisaNet, which main components are authorization, clearing and settlement and dispute resolution systems. The Network Processing team is building the long-term architecture on open platforms and commodity hardware, as well as opening our technology platforms to enable industry collaboration and innovation through co-development.

Issuer Processing: Through third party relationships outside of the U.S. Debit Processing Services, our Issuer Processing platform for North America, processes over half of all Visa Debit transactions and is the largest single prepaid processing platform for Visa prepaid transactions in the U.S.

Digital and Mobile Products: The Digital & Mobile Products team is positioned to build new experiences and capabilities in five key areas: Digitizing the physical card, providing multi-channel capabilities, creating Provisioning-as-a-Service (PaaS), re-energizing our Mobile Money platform, and expanding our reach with Visa branding to connected devices such as TV set-top boxes and smart car systems.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD student in a Computer Science or Engineering related field graduating in Dec 2017 or later

Exposure to any of the following:

  • Basic knowledge of machine learning/data mining (research experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language or technology including, but not limited, to Java, C/C++, C#, .NET, python, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Hadoop, MapReduce, and Objective-C
  • Good understanding of infrastructure including storage, networking, data center, physical servers, hypervisors, operating systems, database and middleware concepts
  • Mainframe technology interest
  • Highly driven and resourceful
  • Strong ability to collaborate
