Job Description

Inovant, LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs Staff Software Engineers in Foster City, CA to deploy strategies and automation for applications based on solutions like Chef and Docker. Build automated pipeline, continuous integration and continuous deployment and test automation frameworks with tools such as Git/Stash and Jenkins. Develop automation using Shell scripting, Python, Linux and Chef. Create and implement tools and portal as a ‘Service Service’ to spin out environments for development and ‘proof of concepts’ initiatives. Build tools and services to fill the existing gaps from scratch. Get requirements and facilitate infrastructure changes like fw rules, DNS, and load balancers. Implement and enforce best practices for code promotion across various environments (builds, approvals, release). Ensure, through automation that code quality tools are run on all software prior to release. Manage and control the continuous release promotion cycle through automation of Chef Configuration promotions and software releases. Implement new technologies in development for future production deployment. Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer and mentorship to engineering peers as required and lead technical staff responsibilities. Triage and provide technical solutions to environment and build/deploy related issues encountered by new and existing applications in the environment. Bring engineering practices into infrastructure and Release Engineering operations.

Qualifications

Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, followed by seven years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or in a software engineering-related occupation.
