EVS Product Managers are the business and product architects of Enhanced Visa Services (EVS) Platform, EVS product offerings and are the drivers of product line success and adoption by the issuers and partners. They drive the vision & strategy of EVS service offerings, its delivery, execution and business operations across the organization. EVS teams are launching exciting and innovative products in the payment space.
The Senior Director, EVS Platform Management will be a key member of the EVS team, responsible for driving and defining a comprehensive strategy for EVS to expand its services processing footprint in the United States and globally. The Senior Director will be responsible for the EVS Platform in identifying and prioritize products to ideate, develop and drive product commercialization to issuers, processing partners and defining the integration to the issuers or partners.
The Senior Director will work closely with the development organization in delivering requirements, tracking execution and commercializing the services in specific markets. The Senior Director will also work closely with Visa Developer Product and Global Network Product teams in services definition, services framework and services delivery to clients globally.
This is a matrixed, cross functional role so organizational savvy and interpersonal skills are critical, to coordinate the build, launch and support of new and existing services.
Specific Responsibilities will include:
Responsible for leading and execution of EVS Product and Platform development, drive product commercialization and go-to-market activities.
Assist in making the business case for EVS Services and investment needs and develop the product strategy, go-to-market plans, positioning, messaging and all elements related to the business case
Maintain, communicate and execute against a prioritized product roadmap for an integrated payment services strategy for Visa, working with cross functional product, technology, implementation and support teams.
Manage key customers and processing partners and assess their requirements and key business processes for inclusion into the product roadmap which acutely address their needs
Define end-to-end solutions and platform enhancements to support new services or enhance existing services.
Deliver Product Requirements, functional requirements, Agile user stories with prioritized features/backlogs and Acceptance Criteria that will drive product development, testing, certification and deployment
Active involvement in Sprint planning, user stories articulation, product requirements clarification,
backlog refinements, test scripts/acceptance criteria and release planning.
Deliver API and ISO based technical specifications for service integration channels
Own and manage the backlog; continuously order and prioritize to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready
Provide analytical insight and assistance to Account Management and Sales teams with strategies to drive issuer or processing partner revenues and transaction growth.
Evangelize EVS Service processing capabilities and work closely with other Product teams and Regional teams to drive product market launches and identifying/integrating right EVS processing partners.
Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholder and align on clear, actionable product strategies and priorities.
Drive business issue resolution and provide functional clarifications to development team.
Optimize and improve existing features and functionality to increase penetration within a large, rapidly growing user base.
Participate in client discussions as the SME, representing EVS services, integration details and specifications details.
Bachelor's Degree required
15+ years of experience required with 8+ years in Payments
- Demonstrated experience in card processing and establishing integration to payment processors.
- Strong experience in API-based and ISO-based product solution delivery
- Direct product management experience leading ideation, design, development and implementation for new products.
- Proven success in launching new products and services at scale
Strong understanding of issuer needs in an omni-channel environment.
Ability to identify, document and prioritize use cases and product functionality requirements for the execution of a cohesive product offering
Proven record of designing and delivering solutions in partnership with sales, business development, technology and support teams for successful end to end product launch
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across regional and functional lines
Ability to work independently within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to stakeholders and to juggle multiple initiatives at once
Solid interpersonal skills with a high level of self-motivation and initiative
Demonstrated ability to work with large, cross functional (e.g. product, business development, sales, strategy, marketing) and cross-regional teams in a complex, highly matrixed organization to determine business and customer needs and to build solutions to meet those needs.
Past experience as a Product owner leading complex projects in both Agile and Waterfall environments
