Working with the Data Product Development Group

Working on data at Visa is a unique opportunity at a time when the payments industry is undergoing a digital transformation with data as a critical differentiator, where we’ve recognised that investment in our technology, infrastructure and people is key to our collective success.

We offer you the opportunity to be at the centre of innovation in the payments industry and unleash the power of data by joining us in the Data Product Development team in Reading, where we are driving forward the implementation of a number of exciting and unique products around the Risk, Fraud, Reporting and ‘country in a box’ spaces using BigData technologies in partnership with the latest in UI stack design.


What would a successful candidate need?

The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, have a demonstrable passion for computing, solid object-oriented programming background and ability to independently pick up and apply other technologies

  • Students graduating in 2018 from a Computer Science or related degree field
  • The ability to take on challenges and address problems head-on
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (including but not limited to Java, C/C++, C#, .NET, python, scala, R, Javascript, HTML, CSS…)
  • Highly driven, resourceful and results oriented with a proven ability and desire to learn new tooling and technologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills alongside a strong ability to collaborate
