Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Participate in the maintenance of the Hyperion environment, including diagnosing, troubleshooting, and initiating corrective actions; develop solutions to system technical issues and systems process
    issues; develop automated solutions to minimize administration and support effort.

  • Participate in the technical environment support of the TM1 environment, including diagnosing, troubleshooting, and initiating corrective actions; provide scheduling and support for technical issues and
    required environment updates; develop automated solutions to minimize administration and support effort.

  • Act in the capacity of L2 application and user support for the Hyperion and TM1 users and technical environment; L2 support is expected to resolve issues and questions on a timely and effective basis,
    perform root-cause analysis, and propose application technical and process updates to permanently resolve issues.

  • Understand and adhere to defined Visa SDLC processes, including documentation, testing and approvals.

  • Understand and ensure adherence to customer service level agreements for Hyperion and TM1

  • Interface with external software vendors for product issue troubleshooting and resolution; initiating Oracle Service Requests (SR's) as necessary, as well as SRs with other 3rd Party Vendors.

  • Provide support to strategic initiatives as assigned including, but not limited to system configuration, testing of applications and process enhancements, upgrades and new solutions, ensuring sound knowledge transfer to assume post-implementation support role.

  • Expected to critically evaluate customer service requests and incidents to prioritize own workload, determine potential global and/or cross-modular impacts, determine temporary procedural work-around where feasible, and communicate to the broader group of impacted parties.

  • Conduct one-on-one user training or formalized,pre-developed larger group training sessions as assigned.

  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and communicate ideas for process improvements and training needs both for applications usage by customers as well as for internal processes and skills enhancement.

  • Work with L2 and L3 teams (SME) on the critical requests and resolve it to closure.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience developing software applications or customizing/extending packaged enterprise software applications. Good understanding of related business process and support model.
  • Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Extensive hands-on development experience and proficiency in Object Oriented Programming using Java/J2EE/.NET and web development technologies (HTML and JavaScript). Intimate knowledge of at least one major enterprise.business software application and a web application development framework (Spring, Struts, Ruby on Rails, ADF, etc.).  
  • Experience in system integration, data exchange and transformation, and web services,utilizing EAI platforms and scripting.
  • Knowledge and experience in different software development lifecycle and methodologies, as well as QA, Release and Code management processes.
  • Experience with SQL and/or No-SQL databases. Familiarity with database architecture and design. Knowledge and experience in handling different data sources and enterprise ETL and Big Data technologies would be a plus.
  • Experience with enterprise reporting/Business Intelligence tools and technologies.
  • Experience and knowledge of Apache/IIS, WebLogic application server or other similar middleware platform.
  • Business Knowledge in Finance, Risk, and Sourcing process in a global setting is desirable.
  • Experience with source control, testing, build and deployment tools such as Subversion, Maven, Hudson, Selenium, Git and Chef would be a plus.
  • Driven and self-motivated. Work creatively to solve challenging problems.
  • Multi-tasking ability essential to handle multiple priorities with minimal direction from management.
  • A good team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in a global environment.
