Job Description

Visa is a data-driven company from the top down, presenting continuous opportunities for the Analytics and Data Products team to deliver innovative insights and business intelligence (BI) solutions. Our internal business intelligence applications are used globally by all business lines to drive product and business strategies, build customer loyalty, and identify new opportunities/threats for Visa and our partners. We are creating a Single Source of Truth to further strengthen data-driven decision making internally and for our clients.



The Sr. Director, Global BI User Engagement will lead active engagement with global data and BI user community to ensure we are positioned to drive value from our Data and BI capabilities. This position will develop and execute on an enterprise-wide strategy to elevate active use of data and BI. This will require driving change and executing to achieve deep user engagement through anticipating business needs and new trends. This role will provide critical input into the product management of our internal BI platforms through defining and delivering requirements. This role will develop recommendations based on continuous stakeholder outreach and work with Technology and business team members to ensure that business needs are met and enhance the user experience. A key aspect of this role is also to build a sense of BI community within the organization by providing resources to BI developers and business users to share with and learn from others.

Responsibilities:



This role will own and drive,


•    Collaborate with internal customers, stakeholders, and BI platform users to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for enhancement of the current platform


•    Define, manage, and implement a strategic roadmap that supports business needs


•    Maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction through continuous feedback channels with internal stakeholders; provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer


•    Work with product teams to ensure data collection about products and processes (instrumentation) is integrated into the initial development efforts


•    Deliver training on Global BI tools, specifically on using reporting defaults and standards, how to put data in context, and baseline data interpretation.


•    Execute on a broader rollout of existing training on how Visa and our clients make money, and develop new training on internal data sources and how to use them


•    Own overall user communication and adoption plan of the capabilities being developed as part of the Singale Source of Truth Initiative.


•    Develop and maintain detailed product documentation


•    Lead, manage, and develop a global BI user engagement team of 6-10 employees located across Singapore, London and Foster City, CA.




Qualifications

•    Dynamic business leader with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business or related field with 12+ years of experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role
•    Ability to work across a global organization and has a strong BI/data/analytical orientation
•    Track record of successfully driving change and delivering results in ambiguous environments
•    Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with multiple priorities that require strong project management and decision-making capabilities
•    Ability to establish mutually productive and positive relationships with internal and external customers
•    Resourceful and creative — must bring fresh insights to the business environment
•    Strong critical thinking skills with ability to frame business issues and apply data analysis to support real-time decision-making
•    Excellent communications skills
•    Proven people and project leadership abilities
•    Payments experience preferred but not required
•    Some travel will be required as part of managing a global team and global stakeholders
