Job Description

Overview:
The Data Analytics Sr. Sourcing Analyst’s main responsibility is to help people make better decisions with data. This role is responsible for gathering, extracting, manipulating, analyzing and modelling data using analytical and statistical tools. The analyst will then be responsible to create compelling visuals, charts and other designs that convey Visa’s insights, data analysis and thought leadership across a variety of formats. The Data and Analytics teams delivers and manages the tools and technologies to make those decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire, transform, manipulate and analyze data from multiple sources, ensure data quality.
  • Partner with cross-functional business and technical teams to deliver data insights, identify trends and opportunities, and answer business questions.
  • Communicate complex analysis and associated insights to broad audiences including executives.
  • Influence business decision making and product roadmap through data-based recommendations.
  • Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis and business acumen to understand and analyze data.
  • Incorporate internal and external data into industry and competitive benchmarking information.
  • When required, prepare ad-hoc reporting and analysis in the support of specific initiatives.
  • Develop protocols to ensure data accuracy.

Qualifications

Professional

  • 4 Year/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors)
  • 5+ Years in Business Analysis that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
  • Working experience with industry standard data management tool, e.g. Tableau, Alteryx, OBIEE etc. is preferred
  • Expert proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) or other design programs/tools

  • Ability to perform advanced business analytics, including advanced Excel skills
  • Superb design skills, coupled with demonstrated experience interpreting and displaying business concepts through powerful visuals
  • Is a problem solver with a knack for uncovering elegant solutions
  • Asks questions to get at the deeper-level “why” because you prioritize relevance and meaning over the artifact or visualization itself
  • Is outcome-focused and have an exceptional track record to prove it
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and tools
