Job Description

Position Summary
Deliver on Merchant Sales and Solutions initiatives aligned to the HK & Macau country plan of expanding acceptance, building and scaling merchant and acquirer products and digital solutions, and deepening our partnerships with merchants and acquirers.

Responsibilities

This role requires the incumbent to be a lateral thinker with initiative, a flexible can-do responsible attitude and multi-tasking capabilities. Individual must be a confident and friendly communicator with the desire to add value at different levels within the organization. The ability to be enthusiastic and work in a matrix environment reporting to more than one person. Very importantly the incumbent needs to think strategically with a strong understanding of the card payment business and the impact of issues across all business units.
    Manage existing projects which might be assigned, to ensure seamless execution and achievement of business plans
•    Identify and support programs to drive acceptance penetration within HK & Macau
     o    Support initiatives in merchant, sector and channel environments
     o    Support new acquirer & merchant onboarding and small tier merchant/acquirer account management
     o    Project a performance metrics drive to investments and align with country's and regional's objectives
     o    Thorough understanding of the changing payments landscape and seamless execution within Visa's processes and regulations

•    Focus on business development and sales through delivery of agreed acceptance program initiatives
     o    Develop merchant, client and vendor relationships for execution of the program
     o    Partnership campaign management including campaign business casing, analytics, post campaign reviews, competitor analysis / benchmarking and administrative requirements
     o    Display strong level of business negotiation and deal making and secure the deal for management approval
     o    Work closely with internal functions and stakeholders to execute and deliver on MSS strategic goals


Qualifications

Professional
•    Business College Degree
•    Payments Industry knowledge or experience preferred

Technical

•    Financial management
•    Computer literate with PowerPoint, Excel, Word Outlook and internet skills
•    Presentation skills

Business

•    High integrity and process compliance
•    Keen analytical and administrative skills
•    Strong relationship management skills
•    Independent, mature and responsible work ethic
•    Confident with ability to troubleshoot, identify problem areas and provide solutions
•    Strong sense of ownership and sense of urgency
•    Cantonese language skills an advantage
