Job Description

The candidate position will partner with the various stakeholders throughout Visa to develop and manage legal binding agreements and contracts from approved financial proposals. This person will be an advocate
for the Sales organization (e.g., Co-branding, Financial Institution Sales, DPS, Prepaid, Commercial, Merchant Acceptance, Visa Direct, etc.) while working closely with Finance, Legal, Strategy and Audit. Position will also to develop and manage the agreements that can range from Non-Disclosure agreements to more complicated agreements such as merchant acceptance agreements, master service agreements, Signature account agreements, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree minimum; JD preferred or advanced paralegal experience (with a focus on drafting) preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required)
  • Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required)
  • Strong understanding of Visa Products and Services a plus
  • Previous contract writing experience required
  • Previous contract database migration experience (particularly with Apttus) a plus
  • Ability to work well with management and leaders across various functions throughout company
  • Manages well under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (Required)
  • Previous experience with Salesforce, Apttus or similar contract management software (preferred)



Additional Information

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and draft agreements rated simple to medium complexity for Legal, Finance and Sales review and approval ; ensure approvals are documented and tracked for audit purposes

  • Manages or supports one or more queues of contracts that’s in scope for NA CCM

  • Provide general contract process training to stakeholders and internal clients, including senior management
  • Maintains records and documents associated with contracts
  • Advise internal clients on current CCM Process and Procedures and necessary updates and recommendations

  • Facilitate and participate in contract negotiations with internal partners and external parties

  • Assist with contract administration activities, including but not limited to record maintenance, database management and other post-execution assistance

  • Participate in special assignments and provide ad hoc support and reporting as required
