Job Description
Visa is looking for a Design Thinker with mastery of the method and the portfolio to prove it. You will join our Innovation team as part of the UX team, a lively, positive group that conceives and designs new concepts, and plays a pivotal role in collaborations with Visa partners.
You're an experienced creative who is in your element working in small, agile teams and in collaboration with clients and stakeholders. You'll start from early stages of empathy, research and ideation through the prototyping, iteration and development process. You have a confident design voice and will at times lead creative working sessions to develop shared points of view and process rich research into opportunities and solution concepts.

This role is located in our innovation center in San Francisco overlooking the Bay Bridge and across from the historic Ferry Building.
Responsibilities:
Conceive and design experiences drawn from empathy, inspiration and authentic experimentation
Collaborate with small, dynamic teams to create compelling product concepts
Work closely with clients and stakeholders in a customer-focused environment
Present design concepts and authoritively convey meaningful consumer stories to Executive Leaders
Provide guidance on design strategy and structure work to effectively solve design challenges
Mentor junior staff, and provide guidance and oversight to their work
Contribute meaningfully to the creative culture and community of the innovation center
Oversee and manage contract staff as needed
Qualifications
Candidate must communicate clearly and effectively
Fluent in digital design, prototyping, storyboarding and the tools for creating them
Strong facilitator and collaborator
Experience working hands-on with developers and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
Possess a strong design point-of-view and proven ability to convey it
Knowledge of design and prototyping tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Invision, Sketch
10 yrs. experience or more, preferably working with start-ups and established companies
BA/BS in related field required. MS/MFA preferred
