Job Description

As one of the leaders of the Global Marketing team at Visa, the Director, Global Agency Governance is accountable for leading the development and implementation of a governance framework for agency roster management globally and in regions, compensation, performance, and talent management.

In this role, he/she will provide operations subject matter expertise and strategic guidance on new agency models to drive more accountable and impactful outcomes for Visa, Inc.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • You will lead and oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of a strategic governance framework for Global Marketing, passionate about delivering customer experiences aligned to Visa’s marketing strategies, technology capabilities, and corporate policies and marketing standards
  • Build and lead a team of marketing operations experts skilled at enabling operational excellence for marketers
  • Establish positive relationships with key partners and subject matter experts across Visa to assist in defining and maintaining marketing policies and standards addressing key regulatory and user experience topics, including IT, Legal, Privacy, Security, Procurement, Finance, cross-functional marketing and business stakeholders.
  • Craft a culture within Global Marketing around innovation, risk taking, and constant learning and introduce mechanisms to collect, share, and support adoption of best practices across the organization
  • Define KPIs to measure the impact of governance on Visa’s marketing efforts and evangelize the value to corporate-wide stakeholders
  • Evaluate and provide ongoing recommendations to optimize Visa’s agency roster.
  • Agency Management: Agency performance, accountable compensation, long tail and roster management, fees, SOW, Briefing process

Qualifications

  • 8-10 or more years of relevant agency management experience including:
  • Talent and performance management
  • SOW and Briefing development
  • Accountable compensation models
  • Ability to navigate holding companies and boutique offerings
  • Experience in multiple regions/holding companies
  • Experience working with finance and procurement
  • Negotiation skills
  • Relationship management
  • Roster management
  • Experience in data driven marketing and creativity, marketing automation and effectiveness
  • You are a leader, motivator and strong collaborator who can demonstrate success in delivering and navigating complex projects in a matrixed, distributed global organization
  • Excellent communications ability to a diverse customer audience, including C-level executives, business, product, technology, finance stakeholders
  • Shown ability to lead a portfolio of programs and initiatives end-to-end to meet commitments with a strong work ethic and customer-centric perspective
  • You have the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment; self-motivated, self-managed
  • Adept strategic thinker, problem solver and pragmatist
  • Extraordinarily verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrable experience managing relationships with partners, suppliers, and vendors
  • Bachelor’s Degree and MBA or advanced degree is highly desirable
