Job Description

As a member of the Global Employee Communications team, this individual is responsible for leading the digital channels team that defines and drives the evolution of our employee-facing communication channels. These channels include our intranet, video platform, news channel, and employee mobile experience. This leader, who will report into the Global Head of Employee Communications, will have a unique blend of employee communications skills and working knowledge of technology. He/she will set the strategy for the intranet and other supporting internal channels, drive the implementation, and work closely with technology partners and content owners to deliver an optimal experience for employees. Specifically, the Senior Director will: 


• Act as a passionate and proactive driver of the employee experience to ensure our channels align to Visa’s overall strategy and meet user needs
• Lead a team of three individuals who support employee news, digital, video and intranet content.
• Establish strong relationships with the broader Corporate Communications teams and content owners across the organization to align requirements, solidify content and evolve the various channels.
• Guide the Technology teams to provide prioritized requirements, defined roadmaps, and intranet development process.
• Use data to support the evolution of our channels, including deep analysis of our employees and personas.
• Write, edit, design intranet content that aligns with Visa’s employee voice.
• Collaborate with the UX/UI testing team to capture employee needs and trends to inform the intranet roadmap and launch of features.
• Develop and evangelize KPIs and reporting methodology for site metrics.
• Manage a design agency to evolve the channels based on employee needs.
• Manage the team’s budget to ensure dollars are allocated appropriately based on the various roadmaps.
• Use agile methodologies to ensure project timelines are met and under budget.
• Maintain an understanding of web/mobile design trends to continually upgrade digital experiences.

Qualifications

Requirements
• Results-oriented professional with at least 15 years of corporate communication and digital channels experience, with knowledge of running an intranet.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or related field.
• Distinct understanding of web/mobile UX/UI design and testing.
• Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or other content management systems.
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop a plus.
• Knowledge of basic design and development criteria including responsive vs adaptive sites.
• Experience collaborating with UX/UI teams to define modern, highly engaging digital experiences.
• Experience working with all employee communications apps and platforms (e.g. PowerPoint, intranets, collaboration tools, social listening, blogs, video, photography etc.)
