Job Description
Visa's Market Commercial Product Team has responsibility for the North America Market P&L and product vision for Visa's commercial solutions including creation of issuer segment strategies, commercialization of new and enhanced products and services, research and thought leadership, and product engagement with our issuing financial institutions and partners. The team serves financial institutions and their downstream clients by providing payment products and services to the large and middle market corporate/multinational companies, governments and commercial supply chain/B2B segments. The North America Market Team works collaboratively with the Commercial Platform, Partnership and Commercial Sales Team as well as other regions, ensuring alignment of market positioning across all areas of Commercial.
The N.A Market Senior Director, Commercial Canada Lead and New B2B Operating
Flows will be responsible for setting our core product management strategy in Canada and strategy for faster payments in the B2B space.
This leader has accountability for creating the product strategies that will drive significant growth from alternative payments and for articulating the local market requirements for successful commercialization in
the region. Use cases include domestic and cross-border B2B.
This senior-level role will lead the Commercial Product Team engagement with Visa’s most strategic B2B payment provider relationships, in
close coordination with the Visa’s Partnership, Platform and Commercial Specialized Sales team members.
In addition, the role involves working with the extended Commercial Product Team to identify gaps as well as new requirements for Innovative B2B payment solutions that meet issuer and end client needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In collaboration with global team members and local Canadian market
leaders, Review, Define and Own the Commercial Large Mid-Market strategy in the
Canadian marketLead the definition and implementation of
business strategies that will drive growth of share and revenues from
non-traditional business payments and other emerging strategiesLead the expansion into new products and
services that capture untapped/un-carded payment volumes and leverage Visa’s
robust payment capabilitiesDemonstrate thought-leadership,
product/technology development expertise and strong project management skills
in the integration of technology into new product and service solutionsResponsible for P&L and day-to-day management of B2B verticals for the
Commercial Product team.Partner with internal and external
constituencies to identify, research, and analyze new technology-based
products, services and capabilities; solicit input for concepts, enhancements
and market intelligenceOversee commercialization of Visa Commercial Solutions for the Canadian
Market for different client segments.Define and prioritize a strong operating model with Visa’s technology
partners on specific Product Enhancements and Product specificationsManage the development of financial business
case and ROI analysis for the owned projectsCoordinate across North American, Commercial Product teams and other
internal Visa teams to ensure global alignment of solution offerings toAlign work with Specialized Sales and Account Executives including the
creation of client facing marketing collateral, sales presentations, and acting
as product SME for product calls with our financial institution customers.As gaps/new requirements are identified, collaborate with the Commercial
Product Teams (e.g. B2B, Reporting & Travel, Data) to define and prioritize
these requirements for development.In working with issuers and partners, engage the Commercial Product Team
SMEs to define and validate custom solutions/integrations to ensure that the
proposed offerings align with the broader Commercial Product strategy.Strategize with partners on major initiatives and opportunities,
leveraging customer interactions to identify new and enhanced products and
services.Using known or collected electronic payments industry knowledge to drive
new product opportunities for our issuers and downstream clients.
Qualifications
- Senior Leader with extensive experience (12-15+ years) in Product/Sales and P&L management, preferably in Commercial card
- Knowledge of all electronic payment types including Commercial card payments experience
- Ability to structure, manage, and coordinate complex cross-functional teams including technical and non-technical resources
- Strong results-oriented leader; analytic and fact-based consultative discipline
- Add value to customers by insightful and thoughtful questioning, offering new ideas, and delivering solutions
- Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities
- Ability to work with leading industry partners and negotiate effectively to achieve desired outcome
- Able to work independently and in a matrixed environment
- MBA or equivalent work experience required
