Job Description

The Manager will support leadership of the Square account within the Visa Ready, I&SP group. The role requires an experienced Manager/Senior Analyst capable of supporting the execution of strategic activities for the account globally.  Success requires working closely with a multitude of cross-functional Visa teams who help contribute to the growth of the partnership. This includes closely aligning with Visa’s Core Product, Country Management and Business Development teams as well as other internal stakeholders such as Processing, Pricing, Legal, Risk and Marketing to execute partnership agreements and deliverables that are complex, strategic and cross-functional in nature.

  • Engaging with the client in a systematic and strategic way to maintain and strengthen the
    relationship globally

  • Supporting the client engagement opportunities pipeline ensuring global, regional and
    local coverage capable of delivering on Visa’s strategic goals

  • Supporting execution of customized account strategies, objectives and plans to increase
    revenue and market share from the strategic partner

  • Maintaining and developing complex financial models and performance metrics in support of
    account growth and incentives

  • Working closely with internal stakeholders such as Product, Pricing, Legal, Risk,
    Marketing to execute partnership agreements and deliverables that are complex,
    strategic and cross-functional in nature

  • Evaluating potential partnership opportunities for their strategic and financial value and
    providing business rationale and analytics in support of the opportunities

  • Supporting engagements including major commercial deals, alliances and opportunities from
    inception to active discussions to execution

  • Proactively identifying and helping solve complex problems that impact the management, relationship
    and direction of the partnership

  • Continuously reviewing client and market landscape and recommending, developing, and helping
    to implement new and creative approaches that ensures that the client’s
    business objectives are met whilst growing Visa business

  • Help maintain productive relationships at all levels within the client and the Visa
    organization


Qualifications


  • A minimum 3 years’ business 3 experience ideally with exposure to SMB or retail
    payments.

  • Experience conducting advanced financial modeling and managing large spreadsheets/data
    analysis using MS Excel and manipulating data for data analysis process;

  • Experience conducting market and competition analysis for strategic partners, including
    analyzing products offered, as well as analysis for market trends

  • Experience conducting Business, Financial, Credit, Pricing, Structure analysis including
    historical customer performance

  • Valuation Analysis experience – including analyzing and reviewing ROE, ROA, PV, Discounted
    Cash Flows and other financial and investment metrics of the program.

  • Experience in identifying business and operational opportunities and risks, and assisting
    in reaching resolution

  • Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment, and ability to guide
    management and other relevant parties

  • Proven ability to partner, communicate and manage/navigate through multiple
    disciplines and organizational groups

  • Ability to present to senior management

  • Ethical, empathetic, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA desirable

  • Global work experience desirable

  • Strategic thinker and challenger of the status quo
