Job Description

As an analytics manager you will be accountable for leading the design, development and implementation of analytics driven strategies and solutions.  In this role you will partner with Business, and Technology teams across the organization to implement solutions to drive business performance

The analytic team is responsible for developing the blueprint and delivering projects with the appropriate analytic methodologies and techniques to solve client’s business objectives. The team closely collaborates with other stakeholders to understand the business problem in order to determine the most appropriate analytic approach that provides meaningful results to clients. Responsibilities include delivering projects on
time and within scope with an in-depth knowledge of big data and cutting edge data mining techniques, leveraging predictive, classification and alternate analytic algorithms for modeling and segmentation. These analyses are foundational to corroborate or refute stated hypotheses, and are incorporated in the final client-facing solutions. The team is responsible for continuously creating and protecting analytic IP resulting from project learning

The analytics team is a high-performing group of data scientists, business analysts, and statisticians serving the Middle East and North Africa geographies. The function is looking for a hands-on manager who is results oriented, highly organized, and focused on delivering innovative analytics work.


  1. Collaborating with the internal Visa stakeholders to fully understand client/internal requirements and
         desired business outcomes 
  2. Defining detailed analytic scope and methodology, and creating an analytic plan
  3. Executing on the stated plan with appropriate data mining and analytics techniques  
  4. Performing quality checks on data and deliverables
  5. Ensuring all project documentation is up to date and all projects are delivered within budgeted
  6. Building on team’s analytical skills and business knowledge
  7. Managing team workload, providing guidance for project prioritization, and supporting in improving process efficiency
  8. Enhancing analytic techniques by promoting new methodology and best practices in the domain of advanced analytics



  • Minimum of 8 years of analytical expertise in applying statistical solutions to business problems
  • Post Graduate degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in Quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Computer Science, Economics, or engineering or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of Payments and Banking Industry including Consumer Credit, Consumer debit, Prepaid, Small Business, Commercial, Co-Brand and Merchant
  • Experience in planning,organizing, and managing multiple large projects with diverse cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to incorporate new techniques to solve business problems
  • Demonstrated resource planning and project delivery skills


  • Expert level knowledge of advanced data mining and statistical modeling
  • Deep SAS experience; proficiency and continuous skills development in leading edge analytics and
    visualization tools, e.g. SAS, Tableau, Revolution R, SPSS, SAP BO. Hadoop experience is preferred.
  • Hands on experience in processing extremely large data sets. Knowledge of payment network transactional data is preferred
  • Ability to solve business problems through data driven quantitative methodologies
  • Ensure the usage of the appropriate analytic measures and metrics to solve the business problem
  • Very strong project management skills and experience
  • Excellent understanding of data marts, data relationship concepts and data processing
  • Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English

  • Good business acumen with ability to solve business problems through a data driven quantitative methodology
  • Experience in payment, retail banking, or retail merchant industries is preferred

    various audience levels 
  • Detail oriented with the highest level of quality/rigor in reports & data analysis
  • Proven skills in translating analytics output to actionable recommendations
  • Exhibit intellectual curiosity and strive to continually learn
