Visa Inc. Global Marketing & Communications is searching for a  sharp, ambitious and enthusiastic media expert. The right candidate will have the opportunity to work with cross-functional leads as we evolve our
centralized, data-led, signal based media strategy globally, across key initiatives (i.e., Cross Border, The Olympics and FIFA World Cup). Additionally, we will collaborate to evolve a vision for how we work with media
platforms to deliver on Visa’s strategy and maximize client activation. 
This role is part of the Global Marketing Capabilities team at Visa, which is charged with enabling data-driven, connected customer experiences that are
strategically aligned to Visa’s business priorities. Our goal is to be the most creative and impactful data-led marketer in the world.  We are on a journey to develop our data, capabilities and agency ecosystem to bring more effective and efficient business results to Visa.

Job Description

  • Global Media: With a goal of increasing data led media opportunities,
    guide the approach, implementation, and optimization of a strategic media
    framework for Global campaigns.

  • Partnerships: In corporation with global counterparts, develop approach
    in action for how we engage partners (media, clients, merchants) and drive
    incremental value

  • Relationships: Establish productive relationships with key partners and
    subject matter experts within and beyond Visa spanning Creative, Brand, Finance,
    Measurement, Research, Analytics, COEs and agencies- globally and regionally.

  • Culture: Create a culture within Global Marketing around digital media
    innovation, risk taking, and constant learning and introduce mechanisms to
    collect, share, and encourage adoption of best practices across the

  • Measurement: Partner with analytics, research and measurement teams to
    measure the impact of media strategy, optimizations, tell a story and
    evangelize the value to corporate-wide stakeholders.

  • Optimization: Proactively provide ongoing recommendations to optimize,
    test and learn

  • Technology and Data: Partner with the Marketing Technology Team, product
    leads and data partners to bridge and build new opportunities for further media
    efficiencies, sophisticated measurement, attribution and increased performance


  • Hands on experience delivering, implementing and gaining approval and
    adoption of strategic global media plans from brief to plan to learning agenda
    to optimization to post reporting.

  • Global experience and a clear understanding of local nuance, varied
    partner landscapes and digital readiness across geographies.

  • Experience driving B2B and B2C, on and offline campaigns and
    partnerships that delivered on both brand and direct response goals.

  • The right person is self-driven. A hand raiser, seeking opportunities,
    building relationships and chasing opportunities within and beyond the job
    description, but knows great teams are better than all-star players

  • Naturally curious with a notable interest in the whole business, not
    just the Instagram-worthy views from the SF office or Olympians walking our

  • Being detail-oriented is a strong quality: proven ability to work across
    multiple work streams, managing your time and expectations accordingly

  • A strong collaborator who can demonstrate success in delivering and
    navigating complex projects in a matrixed, distributed global organization

  • Outstanding verbal and written communications with ability to
    communicate with a diverse audience, including C-level executives, business,
    product, technology, finance stakeholders

  • Proven ability to lead a portfolio of programs and initiatives
    end-to-end to meet commitments with a strong work ethic and customer-centric

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; self-motivated,
    self-managed with a sense of urgency and ‘can do’ attitude

  • Adept strategic thinker, problem solver and pragmatist

  • Digital mindset: sets and measures quantifiable goals, learns, and
    continually optimizes approach

  • 10+ years of relevant marketing and related marketing experience, 3+ agency
    years including management experience a requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA or advanced degree is desirable
