Job Description

The Program Management Office for I&SP is accountable for delivery of successful commercial launches in close collaboration with our major strategic partners. 

We are seeking a Senior Director who will take the lead for one of our largest partners and lead cross-functional teams across the entire life cycle for specific programs. S/he is responsible for working cross-functionally with development, operations, sales, marketing, finance, risk, and legal.  Some programs may require designing and building I&SP processes and portfolio governance.  S/he will also be responsible for improving our working relationship with the partner.

Responsibilities

  • Work with I&SP Account Executives to lead strategic discussions and engagements with our largest, complex partnerships
  • Structure and manage integrated, multi-track projects and/or programs that meet the business intent for Visa’s most important strategic partners
  • Support the AE in maintaining a strong partnership relationship, in addition to project delivery, by serving as a subject matter expert in briefing key stakeholders
  • Build and lead extended internal / external teams
  • Act as the single accountable party for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering programs often involving multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partners
  • Provides direction, motivation, and support to the program and project teams.  Inspires co-workers to attain goals and excellence.
  • Identify issues early, determine potential resolutions, assign the appropriate resources, communicate status, and track and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
  • Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost, and quality parameters
  • Represents the project in various project governance and inter-department forums and publishes periodic project status reports

Qualifications

  • A Bachelors of Science degree and 15+ years of experience managing product, product development, large complex projects in a matrix organization is required.  Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in working unstructured environment with evolving process and structure and a matrix organization is desired
  • Excellent problem-solver and critical-thinker with the ability to identify and remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives
  • Detail oriented and proven ability to manage multiple, cross-functional initiatives with overlapping timelines and deliverables
  • Solid influencing and presentation skills and able to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision, both written and verbally
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including active listening, persuasion, and managing change
  • Strong presentation skills – the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences
  • Must have a "Can do" attitude and does not hesitate to do what it takes to garner support in order to move a program forward
  • Pro-active and effective at leading cross-functional teams
  • Willing to challenge the status quo to get things done
  • Team player possessing a strong drive to add value to the business direction.
  • Knowledge of financial services, especially payments helpful
