The Data Product Development division is part of the Visa’s technology organization. The division is responsible for providing value added product and services to our clients and for internal use. The client access to these services are enabled through a set of Data API, BI and Analytics products, Custom Applications, Data Visualization & Data Streaming. The data access is enabled via Web, Mobile and Web services. The BI product group is part of the Data Product Development division that develop and manages various BI and Analytics products and services.

As a Director, you will be responsible for building the talented employee pool at Visa Bangalore center for the BI & Analytics Product team. You will be responsible for managing the project development from India. Coordinate with US team for requirement gathering, architecture, design & development of these projects. Work with Visa’s ADM vendors in India for contract negotiation, resource requirements and delivery of the software components. This position is based in India.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Development team in India
• Understand Visa's Technology Strategy, Provide Architecture and Design oversight that conforms to the strategy
• Work closely with various business partners, understand the requirements and its business use
• Develop implementation plans and coordinate resources & implement the  action plan
• Prepare budgeting, scheduling, vendor and contract negotiation and management
• Mentor and manage resources and set goals, lead the team and be an inspiration for the department
• Understand various development methodologies and apply them that best fit for the group and the project

• Motivate employees and set a path for them to advance in their carrier
• Manage multiple projects in parallel, address project issues, conflicts & schedules in order to meet project deadlines

• Masters Degree with 10+ years of experience or Bachelor Degree with minimum 12+ years of experience in Software Development
• Experience in leadership and management role
• Experience in managing large enterprise applications with stringent SLA goal and 24*7 global delivery model.
• Significant experience with application support organization working in 24*7 environment, driving high availability.
• Client facing application development experience
• Web and Web Services experience
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong automation mindset.
• Strong Software Engineering background is required with a good understanding in multi-tier enterprise architecture.
• Experience with application development/application support/performance tuning in Java, Open Source  technologies 
• Understanding of Big Data Technologies (Map Reduce framework, Pig, Hive, Hbase
• Knowledge of monitoring tools, alert escalation, customer management etc.
• Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate the logic and implementation plan to team members & managers.
• Agile development experience
• Good Presentation Skill
