Responsibilities

The role and responsibility includes keeping the Hadoop platform that covers 22 clusters ranging from Hadoop clusters to  HBASE cluster and KAFKA clusters and making its up and running.  maintaining the cluster, security patching and version upgrade. Troubleshooting application issue and providing needed platform support and working with other infra team. The role will also demand the ability to write and maintain scripts to monitor Hadoop system activity and troubleshooting.

A minimum of 6 years of technical experience with a focus on open source and large data implementations in the Petabyte range.

•Minimum 2 years of work experience in maintaining, optimization, issue resolution of Hadoop clusters, supporting Business users and Batch

•Experience in Configuring and setting up Hadoop clusters and provide support for - Map Reduce tuning, data node, NN recovery etc.

•Experience in Hadoop (Map Reduce, Hive, Pig, HDFS,H-catalog, Zookeeper and OOzie)

•Experience in Linux / Unix OS Services, Administration, Shell, awk scripting

•Administration and troubleshooting Skills of Unix Operating System (Linux/CentOS)

•Patching knowledge & troubleshooting issue while patching of LINUX/CentOS OS and OS hardening

•Extensive experience and support on HP Blade, IBM and Dell hardware.

•Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, analytical and problem solving skills

•Self-driven, Ability to work independently and as part of a team with proven track record

•Minimum of four year technical degree required

•Experience on Cloudera distribution preferred
