Job Description

Job Summary

The Director of Access Management Platform Services is part of Visa’s Cybersecurity organization and is responsible for the Identity and Access Management of Visa’s digital assets, residing on multiple environments.  You will be leading a local team of security analysis responsible for securing Visa’s digital assets across our all our platforms.  You will also be accountable for leading a global functional team of lead and senior technical specialist for Active Directory, in the design and delivery of strategic initiatives.  The ideal candidate will have the correct mix of people/management skills and technical expertise in Active Directory environment.  In addition cross platform knowledge of all our environments (AD, UNIX, and Directory Services) would be a plus. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a local team of Cybersecurity analysis responsible for fulling operational
    (BAU) access request across all functions of Cybersecurity Access Management
    (AD, UNIX, applications, etc.). 

  • Ensure the local team delight’s our customers with exceptional service and ensure our
    SLA’s are met or exceeded.  Establish continuous monitoring of performance metrics and leverage metrics to drive process improvements.

  • Drive local team members toward achieving team goals – “beyond the normal BAU” –
    including process improvement, continuous risk reduction, and excellent customer service.  

  • Technical functional manager and subject matter expert for Active Directory.  As functional manager of Active Directory, you will lead a global team of lead and senior security specialist to deliver on Visa’s strategic IAM initiatives.  Actively participate in the development of IAM Strategy and strategic planning of IAM Program.

  • Lead the functional team to translate IAM Strategy and agreed strategic IAM Program goals into tactical and actionable roadmap for Active Directory.   Drive the functional team to execute on the roadmap and deliver on our commitments.    

  • Manage budgets (travel, training, etc.), resource allocation and forecast, daily scheduling of local team.

  • Represent functional team in project meetings and request for new services/initiatives, liaise with IAM (Core) Processes team in resolution of compliance and audit callouts, etc.  Allocate and direct local and functional resources as appropriate

  • Partner with key business stakeholders within Visa (HR/CSAV/IAM Development/Engineering/Operations/CMDB) to develop innovative solution to improve the quality of IAM service delivery within Visa

  • Provide guidance and direction on access controls and IAM practices to customers

  • Instill global mindset and effective collaboration to team members. 
     

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success as a change agent leading significant transformational initiatives in organizations.
  • A fast-paced leader and solution-focused "driver" for results in a performance culture, but can also achieve results in a collaborative manner.

  • Effective communicator and a developer of people; able to work with a broad cross section of people in direct and matrix relationships

  • Experience with Active Directory implementation in multi forest environment, experience
    with UNIX support on AD a plus.

  • Understanding of Active Directory security concepts for privileged access, securing AD with
    Microsoft Enhanced Security Administrative Environment (ESAE)

  • Sound working knowledge of the security sub-subsystems and 3rd party security products in use on Visa Active Directory and Windows systems, specifically QUEST Active Roles Server, QUEST Change Auditor, QUEST Access Reporter, Random Password Manager, Oracle Identity Manager (OIM).

  • Broad and deep background in all aspects of Identity and Access Management concepts,
    from HR driven processes (on/off-boarding, conversions, transfer), to IAM compliance issues, privileged access management, role based access controls (RBAC), role engineering, including hybrid approach to role modeling and role mining.

  • Strong analytical skills on the team’s services, processes, workload and metrics

  • Payments Industry knowledge or experience

  • Good understanding of Visa Products and services

  • Have a global mindset and collaborate effectively within and across teams in different part of the globe.  

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback 

  • Sound understanding of information security principles and IT infrastructure including operating systems, applications, and communications and network protocols.

  • The ability to work effectively with other functional areas and understand the
    operational and cultural issues relevant to achieving superior results

  • Must be flexible and able to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Be a self-motivated and results oriented individual with an attention to driving aggressive project timelines and schedules

  • Strong ability to work independently and in collaboration with others to achieve a high level of success

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to develop, maintain and foster constructive relationships with others

  • Dynamic, hard-working and ambitious individual, with excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Bachelor degree in computer science, computer engineering, information security or equivalent job experience

  • CISSP, CISA, CISM and other comparative information security certifications are preferred

  • 7 to 10 years IT experience required
