Team Description

The Global Information Security team provides enterprise-wide, risk-based security and continuity capabilities to meet changing internal and external threat landscapes. The InfoSec team is responsible for identifying and protecting sensitive information, detecting and responding to cyber threats, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Job Description

We are looking for Information Security Analysts, Product Analysts, QA Engineers, and Software Engineers to join our Global Information Security team. Some job duties and past projects have included:

  • Creating requirements and design documents
  • Performing discovery/data analysis and gap analysis
  • Threat modeling and analyzing solutions to identify security gaps and capabilities
  • Instrumenting tools to measure, compile and discover security-relevant data
  • Implementing Proof of Concepts that realize security architectures and solutions
  • Assisting subject matter experts in researching and developing security assessments of existing solutions as well as defining security architectures for new solutions
  • Presenting results in front of a wide audience including senior leaders in Visa
  • Work closely with other network and security teams within Visa, maintaining up to the minute information about the underlying network and security requirements to make sure the security tool deployments are operating effectively
  • Use data to Identify new and disruptive technologies that can help providing better experiences to our customers and elevating our security posture
  • Key individual contributor with accountability for performing systems and network information analysis of data loss prevention incidents to the network infrastructure, datacenter servers, workstations, and more in a fast-paced, highly technical environment
  • Perform analysis of IAM related incidents, including
    • Data analysis
    • Documentation of the root cause
    • Recommendations for remediation

Qualifications

So what are we looking for in an Information Security Analyst?

  • Students graduating December 2018 or later
  • Pursuing a Bachelor or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Network Security or a related field
  • Proven leadership capabilities, as demonstrated in professional, academic, or volunteer environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills. (Verbal and written)
  • Ability to work unsupervised and able to research solutions
  • Preferred experience in engineering of mobile applications, web applications, database, big data, operating systems and system design 
  • Preferred experience in applied cryptography, data protection, identity access management, virtualization, mobile
  • Prior experience on IAM products related to Authentication, provisioning, authorization, SSO, and/or enterprise security protocols like SAML, OpenID, OAuth and/or mobile development (iOS/Android) a big plus.
  • Prior knowledge of data analytics tools and programming a plus.
  • Understanding of networks, security, and cloud.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, including:

    • addresses and masks

    • Basic routing

    • Use of IP utilities to identify system configuration or network issue
