Job Description

The Senior Analyst will be responsible for management of the NICHE (Network Inclusion at Capped Higher Exposure) tool. This credit risk management system allows to monitor authorizations and throttle/stop transactions when risk thresholds are reached for specific clients and group of BINs.

In addition, Sr.Analyst will provide support for the CEMEA Credit Settlement Risk team with exposure reporting, clients’ annual reports collection, and collateral management.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Establishing new clients in NICHE, analyzing clients’ volume trends in NICHE / VELT to determine an appropriate level of decline / informational alerts.

  • Regular manual checking and updating data for NICHEed clients (e.g. number of elapsed clearing days, type of volumes monitored (international or domestic or both), sponsorship relations, BINs list, accuracy of email accounts, correct text of alerts, adjusting decline thresholds and open-to-buy limits to chargebacks and collections only volumes, amending limits when collateral is received/released, etc.).

  • Daily manual adjustment of NICHE decline limits to unsettled positions.

  • Closed interaction with NICHE developers, VIP, CCM and Risk Support to address issues with NICHE bugs and improving its usability. 

  • Working with all relevant stakeholders to develop BIN blocking functionality for Russian clients in NICHE.

  • The role will also have the opportunity to lead specific projects (e.g. collateral collection, cash collateral management, client’s annual reviews) and to be exposed to credit risk management practices by being involved in regular risk review exercises.

  • In addition, the position will work closely with various key stakeholders both internal (other Risk teams, Treasury, Legal, etc…) and external (rating agencies, clients, etc…) that regularly interact with CSR.     

  • Sr. Analyst will report to the CEMEA Head of CSR.  

Qualifications

The successful candidate should be both a self-starter and a quick learner, able to work with minimal guidance and will have:

-     Master’s degree in business, management, finance, accounting, or related field.

-     Demonstrated experience and expertise in risk management

-     Excellent written and oral communications skills.

-     Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, team player, approachable, professionally mature, relationship management skills.

-     Strong attention to detail with the ability to synthesize information and make clear, concise conclusions.

-     Heightened analytical and problem solving skills.

-     Self-motivated and organized, able to handle multiple tasks while focusing on results.

-     Good knowledge of Visa organization and ecosystem,

-     Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
