Job Description

This is  project manager 6-month fixed-term contract.

This is a key role within the Russia CR organization, advancing Visa’s business interests across the region. The role encompasses internal communications, program delivery in areas of volunteering and financial literacy, change management and social media initiatives; and external communications (project related). He/she will actively contribute to the overall development of the Regional CEMEA CR function and agenda. He/she will operate as a flexible team member within the wider Russia and CISSEE communications teamPrinciple Responsibilities/Key Results Area

The Communications team is seeking to add a talented individual to support overall Employee Engagement initiatives and dedicated external communication campaigns (2018 FIFA World Cup Host Country Communications and others).  

Dedicated external communication campaigns (FIFA, Other Projects) responsibilities:

  • Build and enhance Visa's reputation and relationships among target stakeholders as measured by media coverage, message pull-through and, where possible, perception audits.

  • Proactively create and execute efficient and timely communications strategies (with a particular focus on digital payments and innovation) that align to and support the regional business development priorities within the approved budget and timeframes; collaborate with agencies, stakeholders and partners to run the project(s) efficiently

  • Demonstrate proficiency in writing and editing materials including client media materials, byline articles, client correspondence and reports; exhibit strong communication skills to effectively articulate to client, colleagues and others
  • Effectively manage agency suppliers and coach them to excellence. Set goals for self and agency team to deliver against the CR strategy.

Employee engagement responsibilities

  • Support and oversee local market media efforts in community and employee engagement including financial education, charitable contributions

  • Develop and manage all internal communication; work with HR to craft executive-led change initiatives

  • Oversee creation of agenda, messaging and materials for all-staff meetings

  • Drive and front regional media engagement to establish Visa as a thought leader in employee engagement; corporate responsibility and shared value creation; and financial education

  • Create platforms for skilled volunteering opportunities for Visa staff at hub and market levels

Key Performance Indicators

  • How:

    1. CR is regarded as a strategic business partner by internal clients, especially GCM,
      and is regarded as an active and value-add player in resolving issues.

    2. Individual is regarded as a “high contributor” in CEMEA CR and Russia business leadership
      team discussions.

    3. All CR activities reflect the highest ethical standards

  • What:

    1. Metrics related to financial education projects

    2. Employee engagement in volunteering platforms

    3. Effective management of employee communication, charitable contribution and financial
      education budgets

    4. Employee engagement survey metrics relevant to employee communications and employees

Qualifications

Professional

The right candidate will have 10+ years of experience, preferably both in-house and within agency. 

Technical

Proven track record across the communications mix, especially issue management, corporate communications and product communications.

Thorough understanding of how to manage and run media campaigns and has a proven ability to pull together annual operating plans and budgets.      

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would qualify. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

Proven track record of working with senior clients

Fluent in Russian and English and able to work US hours

Business

Relationship-building is critical: must be able to demonstrate track record of influencing senior
management with respect to agenda and budget.  

Demonstrate a relentless drive for results and have a highly ambitious mindset. 

Executive presence is key as is the ability to clearly articulate strategic objectives and match them to
business plans, both in-market and across the CEMEA region.

Able to manage teams across borders and work across functions to secure buy in when necessary.
