Job Description

Together, we are building leading edge full-service Payment Management solutions combining global payment processing, fraud management and payment security systems. 

As a Staff SW Engineer, you will be part of our TechOps, SysOps team responsible for operating our development, test, deployment and production solutions to meet the substantial growth needs of our business. You will be part of a talented team essential for delivering and supporting a fast, reliable, secure and highly available services for our mission critical hosted ecosystem.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

   Support  secure, highly available and supportable infrastructure, middleware and application software (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

   Influence the design and implementation of the next-gen service architecture, monitoringtools and automation strategies.

   Passionate about automation, smart monitoring, intelligent alerting and streamlining system
 provisioning.

   Strong attention to detail and quality.

   Focus on predicting and preventing failures.

   Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with previous experience tackling and solvingcomplex problems.

   Experience and fluency in software development and/or systems engineering practices andframeworks.

   Knowledgeable in networking, security, middleware and Linux technologies

Qualifications:

   8+ years of relevant work experience.

   4+ years of Linux-based systems engineering experience in one or more high-volume, highlyavailable production environments.

   2+ years of experience  analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale, distributed production systems.

   2+ years of experience with mission critical production ecosystems.

   2+ years of demonstrated expertise specifying, design and implementing system health, performancemonitoring and service management tools.

•   1+ years of demonstrated experience with capacity management, event management, service levelmanagement, incident management, release management, change management and/or root cause analysis practices and supported tooling.

   1+ years of demonstrated experience with enterprise monitoring systems and SIEM tools (e.g.,Nagios, Graphite, Cacti, openNMS, Observium, splunk, McAfee, LogRhythm).

    Experience working in 24*7 environments will be key to this role.


   Proficiency in Linux  operating systems concepts, memory management, TCP/IP networking, filesystems, RAID, NAS, SAN, process scheduling, virtualization and clustering.

   Experience with Java, JavaScript, Perl, PHP, Python, Shell, SQL, XML.

   Experience with Linux, J2EE Application Servers, Servlet Engines, ESB, Relational DBs, Big Data, Cloud Computing, JMX, JMS including Oracle, MySQL, Apache, JBoss, Glassfish,  Tomcat, Mule ESB, Spring, Spring Batch, Puppet.

   Familiar with systems engineering life-cycle (SELC) best practices, software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, RUP), ITIL, SysOps and  DevOps practices and Professional Services. 

   Strong verbal and written communications skills.

   Experience working directly with technical and business customer stakeholders in high pressuresituations.

   Ability to handle periodic on-call duty as well as out-of -band requests.

Preferred Qualifications:

•   Payment industry domain expertise and knowledge of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).

    Experience with high-volume, high-availability transactional environments and big data services.
