Job Description

The Business Analyst will be primarily responsible for supporting Technology portfolio management activities, including management of program approval-to-spend process and governance of project management activities to ensure internal compliance. This position interacts with many cross-functional stakeholders, including various Technology teams, Finance, and many business function leads. This position will report to the Senior Director of Technology Planning and Business Operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Process day-to-day project management related requests from key stakeholders, including project funding change requests and all related inquires. Apply project management best practice to provide guidance to stakeholders

  • Review project management documentations to ensure alignment with program funding approval (i.e. documents related to Project cost estimates, charter, risk scoring, etc.), with a continuous improvement mindset to streamline processes

  • Complete system/tool updates to ensure data integrity and alignment with program funding approval

  • Perform analysis to ensure program/project data quality and compliance of internal Project Management Methodology, including outreach to project managers to resolve discrepancies between programs’ actual spend vs. approved funding, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field

  • 3 to 7 years of experience required

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; prior financial budget and forecasting experience preferred

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools (specifically Word and Excel, Access is a plus)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently with strong time management and ability to execute on multiple concurrent deliverables

  • Educational or prior project management experience a plus

  • Knowledge of reporting systems such as SQL, Business Intelligence / centralized reporting systems (e.g. OBIEE), and other data visualization tools such as Tableau a plus
