Job Description

The Director/Sr. Director, Solutions Marketing is responsible for establishing the marketing strategy, positioning and value proposition for CyberSource solutions. This role will work with global counterparts and cross functional teams to drive unified value propositions into horizontal segments and promote CyberSource solutions to the travel vertical. Location is Foster City, CA with some travel expected.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Solution packaging, messaging and positioning

  • Buyer journey analysis and content mapping

  • Sales and campaign enablement (content, tools, “how to sell this solution” training)

  • GTM and product launch planning and execution w/regional marketing and Product Management
  • Analyst influence (gaining preference)

  • KPIs: solution win rate, global revenue/PV target attainment

Qualifications

  • 15+ years B2B product marketing/management experience in technology/software space (or equivalent skills and knowledge). Background preferably includes marketing of enterprise-class solutions, such as enterprise software, BPM, or SaaS services targeting Finance, Operations and IT professionals

  • Previous experience in/knowledge of the payments industry preferred. Familiarity with eCommerce operations and fraud management would be a plus.

  • Outstanding messaging acumen. Blend of business analyst, story teller and product SME. Demonstrated ability to develop impactful, fact-based, value propositions (requires strong analytical and creative thought processes). Has ability to “see” the unseen story/generate story from disparate pieces—amplify mole hills of differentiation into mountains.

  • Ability to quickly assess and understand merchant business processes, understand how payment management technologies can be applied to improve results, and synthesize into meaningful, quantifiable, differentiated business improvements and messaging. A systems thinker.

  • Strong writing, analytical and presentation skills. Ability to understand complex processes and technologies, and translate into simple concepts (written, graphical, architectural, and verbal). A stickler for communications efficacy and integrity.

  • Proven ability to create decision-oriented sales tools (solution/organization maturity phases, ROI tools, configuration tools, competitive comparisons, etc.).

  • Proven ability to drive creation of campaign content and assets (whitepapers, infographics, videos, etc.) to support demand generation campaigns.

  • Ability to analyze information collected from win/loss interviews and pipeline behavior (conversion rates and velocity) to detect breakdowns in the marketing and sales process, and propose actions.

  • Strong business acumen and attention to detail. Highly organized. Understands the meaning of “Words matter. Numbers count.”

  • Possesses professional presence and demeanor, is calm and measured in the face of challenge; exhibits effective individual contributor leadership skills. Self-starter, collaborative. Builds cross functional relationships with Sales, Product, Customer Support and other stakeholders.

  • BA/BS Marketing or communications (or equivalent skills/experience); MBA preferred
