Within Technology & Operations, Digital & Mobile Product Development (DMPD) is a global division of over 650 team members responsible for developing and managing end-to-end technology solutions that promote the growth of digital commerce and mobilization of payments in emerging and developed markets. A globally distributed team, DMPD encompasses Product Development, Business Operations, Architecture, and Test, Release & Support Engineering functions. 

This is a hands on tech lead role in DMPD data team to bring the current end to end from Oracle to Hadoop data pipeline to the next level.
 Work with business partners to gather requirements and translate into technical specifications on Hadoop platform for analytics.
 Develop/support/troubleshoot/configure applications to provide data to various business teams within SLA.
 Explore available technology and design custom solution to improve workflow, security, job manageability and scalability. 
 Mentor other members of the team.
 

In depth working experience with Hadoop technology stack and keen on what to look for in various tools running on Cloudera clusters.
 Hands on performance tuning and operational efficiency experience/skills on Hadoop platform.
 Willing to dive into operational issues and troubleshoot existing code to find the underlying cause of problem.
 Have experience mentoring other members of the team. 
 Able to program in at least two of the following: Python, unix Shell, Java and scala.
 Experience with oozie, dSeries, hive, impala or other tools on Cloudera.
 Experience with common hdfs file formats and familar with their pros and cons.
 Extensive hands-on experience with Unix is a must.
 Understand Hadoop administration is highly desirable.
 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

8-10 years of experience working with various database system and data.
 MS or BS in computer science or equivalent
