Job Description

The Head of Global Acquiring & Technology Partners will be responsible for developing and executing the acquirer acceptance strategy globally. This role will bring leadership, vision and creativity to rapidly growing acceptance, increasing usage, and partnerships with acquirers to drive solutions globally. The Head of Global Acquiring and Technology will define and drive high-profile, cross functional strategies and plans, and work in tandem with internal partners to identify and cultivate acquirer growth opportunities, engage with key acquirers, and develop business plans, in order to deliver sustainable revenue growth.
This is a critical role that reports to the Head of Global Merchant Sales & Solutions. This role will work directly with key executive leadership from functions across Visa, including technology, marketing, merchant sales leaders, customer support, and product teams. Externally, this role will collaborate with SVP and C-level executives of key acquiring partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES/KEY RESULTS AREAS:
Deepen partnerships with Acquirers and Technology Partners in each Visa region
• Develop and execute client strategies that build more strategic partnerships with Acquirers and Technology partners that extend Visa products and services
• Provide new value added services that Increase the value proposition for acquirer in the markets they serve
• Deliver consistent, coordinated and constantly improving client management plans that incorporate the full range of Visa capabilities and deliver against agreed-upon metrics and goals.
• Be more flexible and nimble with clients on all issues, respond quickly to requests, and simplify Visa rules.
• Deeply embed Visa resources and capabilities with our clients to ensure long-term programmatic partnership.
Drive Digital Expansion of Visa Products
• Ensure our products are easy to use and accepted in all forms of digital commerce.
• Foster digital innovation by providing an environment of collaboration with new and existing clients and strategic partners.
• Develop pipeline of innovative and differentiated product and service capabilities that are targeted at delivering on our partners’ objectives.
• Invest in the evolution of our products and capabilities to ensure they are market-leading and meet client needs.

• Co-develop new products and capabilities with clients and partners to help them reach untapped opportunities.
- Grow the number and share of transactions processed on VisaNet and continually enhance the value of a transaction processed with Visa.
- Ensure tailored delivery of Visa’s capabilities through the development of globally consistent, robust consulting and analytic services.
Expand Access
• Refine our business model and approach to meet local market and client needs (products, services, pricing).
• Develop and support new methods of acceptance to drive growth in a manner that recognizes circumstances of local markets.
• Partner with nontraditional participants (e.g., governments, non-governmental organizations [NGOs]) in local markets to achieve shared goals.
• Expand beyond network processing where required to jump-start market growth

Qualifications

15+ years of relevant experience.
• S/he should have a strong customer focus combined with an in-depth understanding of the trends influencing the merchant and acquiring payment world.
• This leader should have a consistent track record in running clients/accounts, developing relationships and sales partnerships and possess knowledge of the global emerging and mainstream payment ecosystem.
• The Head of Global Acquiring and Technology Partners must be an excellent collaborator and natural teammate with superb influencing and interpersonal skills.
• The successful candidate will be able to work in a fluid, creative, and innovative environment, preferably on a global level.
• Adaptable with strong analytic orientation; possesses an advantageous view of where the market is headed from a product perspective
• Strong executive presence and extraordinary communication skills. with a demonstrated ability to serve as "voice of the product" with internal partners and external clients
• Strong strategic thought leadership and analytical skills
• Stays abreast of key competitor actions and their implications or threats to the business
