Job Description

The Global Credit Access team is a newly formed group to help expand access to credit in regions with low credit penetration. It is an exciting and fast-paced role that would be well suited for those who enjoy being hands-on with strategy formulation and driving results.

Reporting to the Vice President Credit Access, this role will contribute to the business plan for and then manage the build and rollout of capabilities Visa will provide its issuing clients to accelerate adoption of credit by consumers.

This role will focus particularly on Mobile Financial Services and how Visa can build products in that ecosystem to expand access to credit through our clients.

The Director / Sr. Director of Credit Access Product Management will:

  • Leveraging market research, conversations with country teams and our Financial Inclusion team, and country research, identify the key barriers to banks issuing credit cards in less penetrated markets from an economic, banking infrastructure, technical and human capital standpoint
  • Based on the research, develop product proof of concepts and associated business case and test plan to demonstrate which of those barriers Visa may be able to address in a scalable way

  • Partner with regional teams and technology teams to implement the POCs and given the results, make a recommendation on if and how Visa can accelerate the adoption of credit in less penetrated markets

  • Partner with Technology to build scalable capabilities to support those recommendations

  • Working with country teams refine the product to a commercial grade solution

  • Develop region-specific strategies to launch and gain scale in credit access capability

For the right candidate, the responsibilities can be scoped at the Director or Sr. Director level.

Qualifications

  • 9-12+ years of experience with a substantial portion in mobile financial services. Particularly in developing mobile lending products at direct-to-consumer app-based companies or mobile network operator based lending companies.

  • Experience in formulating the product strategy and developing the business case around it

  • Experience in developing technology-driven low cost digital servicing strategies

  • Experience working in emerging markets and/or with fintechs preferred
