This is a senior leadership role within the CEMEA Corporate Relations organization,
advancing Visa’s business interests across MEA via the deployment of effective
internal and external communications. The role holder will also focus on
developing and nurturing the capabilities and strength of the corporate
relations team. He/she will actively contribute to the overall development of
the global CR function and agenda. The successful candidate will also manage
relationships with two Group Country Managers responsible for large
geographies.

Principle Responsibilities/Key Results Area

  • Lead the development and implementation of communications strategies across MEA markets/regions of responsibility, focusing on Visa’s innovation, corporate citizenship and employer of choice agendas

  • Participate actively as a core member of the CEMEA CR leadership team

  • Sit on two regional management teams for MENA and SSA to help shape the regional
    agenda and to ensure CR plays an active role in shaping the business agenda
    locally.

  • Create multi-year plans which influence, track and improve the reputation rating of
    Visa among critical audiences in key markets as measured by media coverage,
    message pull-through and, where possible, perception audits. Components
    include:

    • Measurably raise awareness of the value of Visa and electronic payments among key constituents. Implement product and solutions communications plans.

    • Build and grow new external partnerships in line with our global CSR agenda.

  • Help manage and develop four direct reports across MEA and coach them to excellence. Set goals for self and team to deliver against the CR strategy.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets across MEA, in accordance
    with CR strategy and protocols.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a related subject,

  • 15 plus years experience in communications - agency and in-house preferable with a
    global brand

  • Must have worked extensively across geographies in MEA.

  • International experience a benefit​
