Job Description

  • Will be playing SME role within prepaid testing team and driving the team
  • Expected to handle higher complexity/priority tasks assigned
  • Collaborate with developers and QA leads/testers to improve testability, automation, and tools
  • Analyze automation feasibility and suggest automation team on the scope
  • Perform regression testing with each maintenance release in assigned area
  • Identify and document software defects in a clear manner and retest using corrected code to resolve the issue in a timely manner
  • Identify and troubleshoot system issues working with development as required
  • Design, document and track test cases in ALM
  • Identify opportunities for process and system improvements and efficiencies
  • Work with business representatives, IT Management, IT development, support teams and vendors to ensure on time, on budget, and quality delivery of testing deliverables
  • Coordinate and collaborate with a globally distributed team

Qualifications

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or Technology related field.
  • 8 or more years of hands-on Quality Assurance experience using both Manual testing and Automation
  • Strong Knowledge on MVS, Tandem and UI
  • Knowledge on writing test cases corresponding with business requirements
  • Must be familiar with estimation, test design preparation etc
  • Strong knowledge on SDLC process and end to end test process
  • Strong knowledge on automation tools and functions is a plus    
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, ALM, SharePoint, wiki, etc
  • General business knowledge of financial systems and EFT(Prepaid card management system knowledge is plus)
  • Knowledge on Agile development methodology
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize workload in order to meet necessary deadlines.
  • Able to make independent judgments/decisions within established guidelines.
  • Collaborative, team oriented style.
  • Ability, desire and motivation to learn quickly and pick up new skills

  • Must be high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to function under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills -- both verbal and written – and able to quickly learn and implement new technologies, application appropriate frameworks and tools.
  • Strong relationship, collaborative skills and organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation and Able to work as a member of matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project team.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities.
