This position works within the Bangalore-based Loyalty platform Application to provide L2 support to applications, business owners, Clients and end users. Loyalty application team to make sure that 24/7 availability of application, issue analysis & coordinating with various team to resolve the issue as soon as possible with best commitment, fulfilling the client requests, environment & server setup, New Code release & fix deployment in various environment like production, client testing and pre-production environments, maintain the application documents up to date and ensure application & servers are compliance with Visa Security policy and procedure.

Initially this position will work under the guidance of supervisors and senior team members, but over time will work independently to follow up to document and research technical incidents and issues, and coordinates issue resolution with the various Applications team members and business owners.

Roles & Responsibilities:

·        Issue analysis, resolution and Root Cause Analysis.

·        Perform bug fixes and code optimizations whenever necessary.

·        Creating change tickets, pre & post change validations and deploying projects / new app releases / code fixes across environments like Production, CTE and pre-production.

·        Database updates upon request from business. Backup and Restoration performed on regular basis.

·        Providing assistance to the users for accessing the application by assigning the appropriate roles.

·        OS and application vulnerability remediation.

·        Maintaining, tracking and renewing application and server certificates to maintain application availability.

·        Monitoring application and server performance in real-time using custom scripts and monitoring tools.

·        Creating automated scripts to ensure high application availability and reduce time spent in repetitive manual activities.

·        Regular communication with customers regarding issue impacts, outages, changes and new releases.

·        Server / VM procurement, environment setup of servers, application deployment and configuration to ensure application is hosted correctly on a new server.

·        Lead technical bridges and interact with other partners including product development, QA staff, Business owners, Client partners and with management during the incident & change management process.

·        Documenting all the changes and maintain the support run book up to date

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills:

Essential Skills:

·        Very Good knowledge on Databases Oracle or MSSQL or MySQL or DBs

·        PowerShell, Perl, shell or any other scripting knowledge is mandatory.

·        Understanding of ASP.Net or Java Programming is important.

·        Experience with web-related technologies including Tomcat, Web sphere or IIS etc.

·        Experience in supporting systems that run either UNIX or Windows Environment.

·        Understanding of core networking concepts such as routing, protocols, subnets, DNS.

·        Working Knowledge on IBM MQ.

·        Good Understanding of monitoring Tools is a plus.

 Desirable Skills:

·        Must be able to multitask effectively, possess Strong technical aptitude and a great desire to learn

·        Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, application design, and implementing major components for large projects.

·        Knowledge of monitoring tools, alert escalation, customer / vendor management etc.

·        Build tools to automate production support activities that enable efficiency and productivity of Service desk and other operations groups.

·        Familiarity and/or experience in implementing ITIL concepts in addition to technical aptitude are highly valued.

·        A bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science or a related degree.

·        Good communication skill and ability to work as team player.
